Continue on the N3 until reaching Howick, where you will take the R103 route. Travel through the picturesque Natal Midlands until arriving in the town of Underberg. In Underberg, you will switch to a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

The Sani Pass Full Day Tour starts in Durban and heads to Underberg, where the 4x4 adventure begins. Upon arrival in Underberg, participants transfer to a 4x4 vehicle to ascend a gravel, winding pass that is steeper and more challenging than any other in Southern Africa. This pass provides some of the most breathtaking views in South Africa. As the elevation rises, the road narrows and becomes more precarious.
