  • Goat Island Marine Reserve - The team is stationed on the beach beneath the Pohutukawa tree at Goat Island. Visitors can park at the top of the hill and enjoy a brief walk down. Alternatively, use the loading zone to drop off passengers at the bottom of the hill before parking the vehicle at the top.

  • You will get wet up to your knees, so bring a towel and possibly a change of trousers/shorts.
  • Bring warm clothes and a jacket if the weather is cool.

Amazing staff (Mark and Lucy) - A wonderful experience, especially if the day is clear and not so windy! Lovely staff, who were quite helpful in spotting marine life for us! Apologies if I got the staff name wrong !

Heaps of fun! - Was such a fun and relaxing experience. Was quite windy so we couldn't see a lot through the bottom of the kayak but was still so much fun. The operators were really friendly and chilled and allowed us to start a little later as we were the last lot for the day. The scenery is magnificent. Highly recommend.

Lovely nature experience on the water at Goat Island. - Beautiful walk in something that looked like a transparent bath. Nice info and service before we left at 10. Good time as it is a small beach and limited p-place. There was wind and waves when we were there, but the staff kept an eye on us with kikkert and via surfboards. Some snorkeling in the water. We got padded into caves, seen waterfalls and fish! The water was delicious and turquoise colored. 90 min was fine, no longer

Wonderful experience - This was our first time trying a kayak glass boat, and the staff was super helpful. They even helped us reschedule due to the weather, which worked out perfectly since it turned out to be a really beautiful day. The sea near the cave was a vibrant green, and the boat itself was gorgeous. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us through the kayak and even taking photos for us – they really went above and beyond!

Fantastic staff doing a great job providing an awesome experience - Fantastic experience kayaking at Goat Island with Clearyaks The staff were so friendly and professional Weather was a little breezy so they took our kayak and launched it where the water was calmer A staff member came out with us on her paddle board to ensure our safety Had a fantastic time and couldn’t rate our experience higher Thank you so much

Amazingly beautiful - We had such a great experience! The attendant prepared us really well before kayaking, which was reassuring since most of us were beginner swimmers. The whole ride was calm and serene, sunshine above, crystal-clear water below, and even a few friendly fish along the way.

Over priced, over crowded - Good but over priced and too over crowded plus the boats are scratched up making it hard to see through them. We discovered if you put some water in the bottom you can see more. Would I do it again No. Would I recommend if no probably not. Would I recommend going to goat island with a snorkel yes but take your own as they are over priced as well.

No access to kayak no one showed up - Turned up early. No one was there to provide access to kayaks. Could not get hold of anyone. The “experience” was not refundable. Not good enough.
