During this unique experience, you will discover pristine marine areas of the lagoon led by our qualified and passionate guides. Depending on the weather and wildlife behaviour on the day, you will visit between 3-4 spots:
First thing in the morning, you’ll head to the Manta Rays feeding ground to spot these underwater angels, before cruising to discover two renowned local coral gardens. If the conditions allow, you’ll also spend time looking for the Eagle Rays.
Your guide will jump in the water with you to point out the different species and help out where required people who are not comfortable swimmers. For people who have never snorkelled or are not confident swimmers, we recommend our private tours for a more personable experience during which the guide will be able to focus all his attention on you. You get to see rays,... - You get to see rays, sharks, colorful fish and coral. The guide is very knowledgable and leads you to the spots to see everything.

Best Decision We Made in Bora Bora! - We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Reef Discovery on the Half Day Group Signature Tour in Bora Bora. Our guide, Fabien, was personable, knowledgeable, and made the trip both fun and informative, while Mana was incredible at spotting whales and ensuring we didn’t miss a single moment.
The small group size (ours had just 5 guests) made everything feel intimate and comfortable. Our boat was the first to arrive at a snorkeling spot near whales, and we were lucky enough to be in the water with a young whale that swam right around us—within arm’s length! Later, we even saw five whales from the boat at the same time, which is exceptionally rare.
We had originally been recommended another company, but they were fully booked. Going with Reef Discovery turned out to be the best choice we could have made, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to Fabien, Mana, and the Reef Discovery team for giving us a magical, once-in-a-lifetime day!

Unforgettable! - One of the best experiences of our lives! You could see the whale close enough, it was impressive and so beautiful to see. Not forgetting Fabien and Ari who are super welcoming and friendly, we had a great time with them. Being deaf they knew how to adapt to us, we are very touched, thank you very much for everything ❤️

Terrific experience all around! - Fabien was fantastic with our group. He was very informative and gave us great information. Fun and a good guy. Looked out for our safety. When we come back he is the man we will look for to take us on an adventure again!

A dream come true - Great experience. We could see 5 whales .. icing on the cake a launch to see more closely a juvenile 🐳 who had fun getting close to us. Magic. Unforgettable. Amazing.

Niko is great with Carmen and Greg - First stop was turtles in the bay at the Saint Regis. Then we found a school of manta rays. The coral Gardens was next. Niko took us on a short guided tour and then let us swim independently in the coral Gardens for quite some time and then he said he would pick us up on the way out so we got to drift all the way down the coral Gardens, where he was waiting for us That was great. Then we saw the Eagle rays in the deeper water and on the way back we had a fourth stop where we saw the sharks and the stingrays great job Niko.

Amazing experience with Manta Rays and sharks! - Our French Polynesia trip was truly unforgettable, and this half-day private excursion was the highlight. We had the privilege of witnessing magnificent Manta Rays. The experience took an exciting turn when we swam alongside black tip sharks and sting rays. Our guides, Mana and Temo, were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the island’s rich history and marine life. They provided safety tips at every stop, ensuring our safety and guiding us on what to look for and see. Mana joined us in the water, equipped with a safety buoy, so we could swim freely while knowing he was close by for any emergencies or to spot the best rays.
Our excursion led us to breathtaking locations, including a coral garden and a shallow area with crystal-clear water and soft sand. At these spots, Mana and Temo entertained us with their musical talents and sang along. They also provided complimentary snacks and drinks, making the experience even more enjoyable. They also provided the snorkel equipment and towels. We highly recommend.
