We had a great Lecce tour - Sara was a fantastic local Lecce tour guide. Her knowledge of local architecture, archeology, customs, and history really made for a nice day walking and learning. The tour started promptly in a fascinating area with many layers of local interest revealed. Sara spoke clearly and was able to answer any questions we had. It was fun to walk with her she seems to know everyone and what makes the old town function. We learned about local food favourites, art, and daily life. She taught us about olive oil and it current and historical significance to the area. We were guided through cultural influences and how the location is important to Italy and the Mediterranean neighbourhood. Lecce is a city worth visiting and with Sara as a guide you will appreciate it even more. Our eyes were opened to look up a see detailed information hidden in plain sight. I highly recommend a guided tour of the ancient town and with Sara you will have the best tour.

Enjoyable dive into Lecce’s history and gastronomy - Genuine local experience and very informative, bridging together historical facts and local legends. Sara is very knowleadgable and funny person, made us enjoy the tour despite the rainy/chill morning. Excellent gastronomical recommendations, as well.

Great tour, great host! - Absolutely loved this tour. Lecce is an incredible city with breathtaking architecture and a fascinating history, which definitely warrants spending a few hours walking with an expert to show you around. Speaking of the expert, Sara was wonderful. Super knowledgeable and friendly, funny and approachable, and communicative ahead of time. Could not recommend more!

Sara is a wonderful guide! - Sara is a wonderful guide. She studied history and architecture and has lived in Lecce for many years. We learned a lot a in 2 hours we saw most of the inner city at a relaxed pace. Good English with much humor.

Absolutely take this tour with Sara! - Sara is a truly EXCEPTIONAL tour guide. Her English is excellent and she explains a lot of complicated history in very clear ways, whilst still conveying accurate information. She takes you to some of the key sites in Lecce, to help one understand its layers of history. She is trained as an archaeologist so she brings a particularly helpful perspective when seeing the Roman excavations in the town.She was friendly and thoughtful as a guide, always waiting for everyone in the group to assemble before explaining things, being sure we stood in the best spots for views, etc. Can’t recommend her enough!!

An excellent tour. - Sara is an excellent guide. An archeologist before becoming a tour guide, she is very knowledgeable and also quite friendly, with a nice sense of humor and good English language skills. She keeps the groups small, just 10, which we also appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour tour and highly recommend her.

Actually explained the history as we walked!!! - I spent 10 days in Puglia and Matera and this was the best tour I went to because Sara actually explained the history of the city in detail and the importance of buildings we were passing. Maybe I'm just a bit of a history nerd but most tours now only cover interesting anecdotes and basic information, but don't really give you the full history of the areas you are passing. This tour, refreshingly, actually did this, which I loved.
