- Piazza del Duomo - A splendid example of a square transformed into Baroque style, it unfolds like a theater wing. On the left, the magnificent late 17th-century bell tower by Giuseppe Zimbalo stands prominently with its majolica dome. At the center, the Cathedral features a façade with a balustrade, overlooked by the statue of the city’s protector, Sant’Oronzo, and adorned with flowers, angels, and lanceolate points, a sublime example of fanzaghesco baroque. The Episcopio, with its propylaea portico, is an admirable work by Emanuele Manieri. - Anfiteatro Romano - This arena, dating back to the first century AD, was partially uncovered at the beginning of the last century. Visitors can admire the impressive architecture of the cavea, stands, rampant arches, and balteus, a jewel in the heart of Lecce’s historic center.
- Basilica di Santa Croce - A world masterpiece of Baroque art, its exquisite facade is dedicated to the Battle of Lepanto, symbolizing the ideal triumph of the Christian and Western European world. - Piazza Sant’Oronzo - The heart of the city, the ancient Piazza dei Mercadanti from the 1700s, still bears traces of its past linked to the influence of the Maritime Republic of Venice. It features the Palazzo del Sedile, a venue for exhibitions and city assemblies, and the adjoining church of Saint Mark. The square borders the ancient Roman Amphitheater, partially revealed, a gem nestled among Baroque, Art Nouveau, Rationalist, and Venetian palaces.

Informative tour about... - Informative tour about the various groups that have populated Lecce and the architecture/archaeology.. We had a break in which we got to sample some local snacks and caffè Leccese. It was a great morning. Thank you Lorenzo.

Lorenzo was very... - Lorenzo was very knowledgeable about his town Lecce. He gave us so much information and knowledge about the history of the town, Baroque history and architecture and culture. He spoke eloquently and detailed about everything. He also gave us time to taste local delicacy and share conversation with the rest of the people in the group. His explanation and passion in showing us the town gave us much appreciation and interest in exploring Lecce.

An easy, fun tour of Lecce - We did this group walking tour with Lorenzo. His knowledge and attention to detail really enriched our visit.
It was fascinating to hear how the history of Lecce's inhabitants and religion had shaped the look of the city.
The tour was easy going and we stopped for some delicious refreshments on the way.
Would very much recommend.

Informative, interesting and entertaining - Fabulous experience with Lorenzo. He knows his history, art, religion and architecture and explains it well. I came away with a much deeper understanding and appreciation for Lecce history and architecture. I absolutely recommend Lorenzo and this tour.

Great City Tour - We had a wonderful city tour. You really need an informative
Tour to understand all the history of Lecce. Our guide spoke great English and was very well prepared and informed. The tour was posted as a 2 hour tour and ours ran for about 2 1/2. Highly recommend

Excellent Walking Tour - This is an excellent walking tour. Lorenzo is one of the best tour guides you will ever have. The pace was perfect. You do not have to walk far to learn a lot about the history of Lecce. You will stop at culturally and historically significant palaces, churches, homes and of course the Roman Amphitheater. The group was small enough that you could ask questions and you will get some time to meet your fellow tourists!

An outstanding tour with the best tour guide - Our walk through Lecce with Lorenzo set the stage for an amazing trip. We have never met a tour guide as enthusiastic, kind, knowledgable, and engaging as Lorenzo. We cannot recommend this experience enough, truly a highlight of our honeymoon! The group was small enough to ask lots of questions and he created great pit stops to relax, absorb the local ambience, and create unforgettable memories. His insights about art, architecture, history, and social dynamics were incredible.

Great introduction to Lecce - Our walking tour through the historic heart of Lecce was one of the highlights of our trip to Puglia. From the moment we began, Lorenzo brought the streets, architecture, and centuries of history vividly to life with an incredible mix of knowledge, passion, and humor. Every piazza, hidden alleyway, and landmark had a story behind it, and Lorenzo shared them in such an engaging and entertaining way that we were captivated from start to finish.
What made this experience especially memorable was how informative yet personal the tour felt. Lorenzo clearly loves the city and is passionate about art & history. The pacing was perfect, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take photos without ever feeling rushed. This was far more than a standard sightseeing tour — it felt like spending a few hours with a passionate local friend who wanted to share the soul of their city with us. The break for Leccese coffee and snacks was welcome and everything tasted delicious.
If you’re visiting Lecce and want an experience that is educational, authentic, and genuinely fun, I highly recommend this walking tour.

A must in Lecce!! - This was one of the best walking tours I've ever booked. A good sized group with an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Lorenzo didn't just recite information, but explained to us how to understand the buildings around the streets of Lecce. The tour was well paced and calm, packed with very interesting facts.
