• Porta Rudiae - Porta Rudiae is a historic gateway in Lecce, providing access through the city’s defensive walls. The current baroque structure, completed in 1703, was reconstructed by Prospero Lubelli.

• Piazza del Duomo - Historically known as the “Courtyard of the Bishop’s Palace,” this square was exclusively for clergy, surrounded by religious buildings that separated it from the rest of the city.

• Cattedrale Maria Santissima Assunta e S.Oronzo - The Cathedral of Lecce, also known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria dell’Assunta e Sant’Oronzo, is the focal point of the city’s religious life. Rebuilt in 1659, it replaced an older church that could no longer accommodate the growing number of worshippers.

• Campanile del Duomo - The Bell Tower of the Cathedral of Lecce stands over 70 meters tall, featuring balustrades, flower vases, pyramids, and other intricate decorations. The view from the top is breathtaking!

• Teatro Romano di Lecce - The Roman Theatre is a significant remnant of the ancient imperial city of Lupiae. Constructed in the early 1st century AD by Emperor Octavian Augustus, it, along with the amphitheatre, served as a major entertainment hub for the Roman Empire city.

• Anfiteatro Romano - Commissioned by Emperor Octavian Augustus in the early 1st century AD, this grand Amphitheater is believed to have held around 20,000 spectators.

• Piazza Sant’Oronzo - Piazza Sant’Oronzo is the vibrant heart of Lecce, both artistically and socially. It is located in the center of what was once the Roman Lupiae.

• Basilica di Santa Croce - The Basilica of Santa Croce is a quintessential example of Lecce Baroque. Its construction began in 1549, initiated by the Celestine Fathers, a religious order, following the demolition of a previous temple and convent from the late 14th century in the area of Carlo V Castle.

• Castello Carlo V - The Charles V Castle is the largest in Puglia. Originally built in the 12th century AD, it was named after the Spanish king Charles V, who in 1539 ordered the reconstruction of the previous castle to better defend against Turkish incursions in the Mediterranean.
