Perfectly organized trip and very pleasant guide - Beautiful trip and greatly organized itinerary - informative guide and great driver. Full day of interesting places, with lots of flexible time to wonder around, not restricted by group. Just the right amount of information provided by the guide, in English and Spanish and sufficient time to explore alone as well. Would strongly recommend this trip.

Petropolis surprises by its beauty and culture! - Excellent! The breast Cris and an exceptional guide! I loved the walk and lunch. I will definitely come back and go again! Culture and safety!

The only point that doesn't... - The only point that did not please me and also my partner, was the prospectus released for the tour was outdated, since the visit to the brewery was included in the program and the same was not available for some time. Reason for which caused a frustration to my partner, considering that this was the item that led her to agree with the script for our tour.
It is worth mentioning that the guide and the driver were great throughout the journey.

Can improve - Very cool! I still did not like that we had time to walk but we went to chocolate and clothing stores that did not contribute anything to the experience

Disorganized - Initially we left well after the scheduled time, there were in our group elderly, disabled people and children i.e. preferential group and only one guide, so the guide left the adults and accompanied the preferential leaving to desire.
Due to the delay in the movement of the priority group, and wanting to meet the schedule the guide kept accelerating, without taking into account that the delays did not occur because of the group but because of limitations of the priority group, which in my opinion should be separated in order to serve everyone with quality.
When we arrived we were left in a hotel waiting for the van to come pick us up and take us to our hotel, we were told that they were already waiting for us, which didn't happen, we stayed 40 minutes waiting we paid for an Uber and we left.

They canceled my tour without reappearance or money back - The tour I paid for was cancelled for carnival dates, giving notice practically a few hours before the tour without having time to cancel it and my money back. I tried to contact the provider for the refund of the money or see when another date could be made the tour, they offered me possible dates that no longer suited my travel dates, they never resolved anything and the money I paid was never returned.

Not well planned trip - The trip is not well planned. Historical sites are visited very briefly, but time is allocated for clothing shopping and visiting a chocolate cafe after a long lunch (1h).

Did not enjoy the tour - Tour did not meet my expectations, when I booked the tour pickup time was 8:00 am, we were picked up 9:47 am, we left Rio after 10:30 am. There were 29 people in the group which was too large. The Guide spent more time speaking in Portuguese and in Spanish by the time she spoke English we missed most of the information. I would not recommend to English Speaking tourists. We had to cut the trip short due to rain. For the price we paid it was ok. I really wanted to see Petropolis but missed out on this opportunity. I felt guide was not properly organised and company should have kept the group size smaller. As a tourist our time is precious that is way we book tours to see more place in organised manner. But when tour operator is picking you up late, cutting the tour short due to rain and safety reasons, as tourists my day got wasted.

Avoid at all costs: never picked us up and would not reply to messages - We booked this tour through Viator and the Pepe Rio tour company confirmed our pickup time and hotel location the night before. But we were left waiting for an hour on the kerbside on the tour morning as we messaged them politely via the Viator app for an hour without response. They never came, responded, or offered an explanation. This may be a systemic issue rather than a one-off mistake: unlike almost all other tours we have done, there is no provided WhatsApp number or contact info for immediate help. We got a helpful prompt refund from Viator customer service, who apparently have a direct contact, but we strongly suggest using another local company, or just calling an Uber to Petrópolis, as we were forced to do. $28 or so each way. from Copacabana .
