• Marina de Leça - Embark on an exciting scuba diving adventure to explore one of mainland Portugal’s most iconic shipwrecks, the U-boat U1277, a WWII relic. The tower still showcases the pressure hull, made of welded metal plates about 22mm thick, along with the combat periscope’s gleaming stainless steel and an uncovered hatch.

This dive site is teeming with life, as the submarine acts like a reef, attracting diverse marine life and flora. The ship’s hull is adorned with small white anemones (Sargatia elegans), thousands of pouts, the largest congers found in these waters, curious octopuses, lobsters, and a stunning community of pink anemones.

Participants will gather at the Marina to discuss the wreck before heading to the U1277 site for an unforgettable wreck dive! This experience is designed for advanced divers.

For open water divers, alternative diving locations will be arranged according to certification, with potential schedule variations. Please consult with your host to fully understand any differences.
