- Cruise Terminal Le Havre — The tour begins with a convenient pickup directly at the cruise terminal in Le Havre, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to the first stop.
- Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema — Perched at the top of the cliff overlooking Gold Beach, the Arromanches 360° Cinema presents one of the most powerful World War II films ever created: a 19-minute circular panoramic production that pairs original 1944 footage with present-day images of the same locations, displayed simultaneously across nine screens surrounding the audience.
There are no seats. Guests stand at the center of the circular room as the events of June 6, 1944 unfold all around — the ships, the soldiers, the explosions, the liberation — intercut with the same coastline as it appears today, peaceful and green. The contrast is striking. It is the single most emotionally impactful way to grasp what took place on these beaches, and it lasts only 19 minutes.
The cinema sits directly above the ruins of Mulberry Harbor B, still visible in the bay below — the artificial port the Allies assembled in just 12 days to supply the liberation of France. After the film, the view from the clifftop places everything that was just witnessed into physical context.
- Longues-sur-Mer — Longues-sur-Mer is the only German coastal gun battery in Normandy where the original weapons remain in place: four 155mm naval guns, each weighing several tons, still aimed toward the English Channel exactly as they were positioned on the morning of June 6, 1944.
Every other D-Day gun battery in Normandy features empty concrete bunkers. Here, guests can walk right up to the actual weapons that fired on the Allied fleet during the landing. The scale is extraordinary — the guns are massive, the concrete casemates remain intact, and the clifftop position above the sea makes it immediately clear why this battery was one of the most strategically important German defensive positions along the entire Normandy coastline.
The battery fired on both the Allied fleet and the artificial Mulberry Harbor at Arromanches — just six kilometers to the east — until it was neutralized by British naval bombardment and air strikes on the morning of D-Day.
- Omaha Beach — Afterwards, the tour heads to Omaha Beach, passing along eight kilometers of coastline facing the English Channel. Ashore, guests will find a sculpture called Les Braves (“The Braves”), created in honor of the soldiers who fought in the war. There will be an opportunity to stop for a quick lunch near Omaha Beach.
- Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer — Next, the tour continues to the Normandy American Cemetery to pay tribute to the fighters of the battle. The visitor center offers a detailed exhibition about the war. This is the final stop before heading back on a two-hour drive to the port or the hotel.
- Cruise Terminal Le Havre — Return to Le Havre. After a full day exploring Normandy’s most important World War II sites, guests can relax on the return journey to Le Havre, arriving back at the cruise terminal.

The day begins at the Arromanches 360° Cinema: a 19-minute circular panoramic film that blends original 1944 footage with present-day images across nine surrounding screens. There are no seats—guests stand at the center as June 6, 1944 unfolds all around them. Nothing prepares visitors for it.
Next is Longues-sur-Mer, the only German coastal gun battery in Normandy where the original 155mm weapons remain in place, still aimed at the English Channel. No other shared tour from Le Havre includes this stop.
Then comes Omaha Beach, the very sand featured in Saving Private Ryan, followed by the Normandy American Cemetery, where 9,387 white crosses face the sea above the bluffs.
The expert guide leads guests through every stop in English.
