Stunning views - Stunning views but, yes, only go when there is good visibility. Also be aware that, at nearly 3,000 metres, you are High! Plenty of room on the viewing platform. Bear in mind that this is where James Bond took on Telly Sevalas, so there is plenty of 007 trivia littering the place, including a screening of whichever film it was. The restaurant revolves, which is fun, bit is not inexpensive .

Perfect Visit. Go Before 2025. - I had a fantastic visit to the Schilthorn and Piz Gloria. I arrived at the top about 8:30-9am and had beautiful views. It was colder than Jungfraujoch so I was happy that I had brought layers. I really enjoyed the view and the number of tourists was manageable, so it was still enjoyable and everyone could get nice pictures. I had lunch at Piz Gloria without a reservation. The waiter was fantastic. He sat me with two other American women and a Ukranian women later joined us. We had a fantastic view, the round sausage was delicious, and nice conversation. Since the resturant wasn't busy, I was able to sit and enjoy my view longer with my coffee. Amazing experience. I was also able to see the construction for the new cable car. It is fascinating how they build it.
I recommend you go prior to the new cable car launch in 2025. I suspect after the new cable car, it will be super overcrowded with Asian tourists, more expensive, and unenjoyable like Jungfrajoch Top of Europe. Luckily, there are plenty of other nice places in Berner Oberland to visit without overcrowding and mass Asian tourism. The harder it is to get to a place (it currently takes three cable cars and you need to stand), the more relaxed experience it is.

Spectacular views - If you're looking for the best views in Switzerland, then this trip is for you. Things don't get any more "Alpine" than this. The views are spectacular. The revolving restaurant serves good food at a decent price.
Yes, it is expensive to get there. If you have a Swiss travel pass, though, you get half off the price of the ticket.
I see people complaining about getting to the top and the fog kept them from seeing anything. You can ALWAYS check the live webcam first. They even broadcast it in the Murren ticket lobby. If it is cloudy and foggy on the mountain, just make other arrangements for the day!!
We simply loved it.

Piz Gloria is worth the cost - Piz Gloria is a fantastic excursion. Up the gondola with great views (albeit a bit crowded) to a hilltop with a 360 degree view. We chose the brunch special with the tickets—well worth it. You get 1-1/2 hours or two full revolutions of the restaurant. The 007 museum was fun and had lots of tidbits about the filming and financing the location. Definitely worth it!

Very nice experience - Splendid views of the mountains throughout our meal in the rotating restaurant. Interesting to visit the location of the shooting of James Bond ‘To Her Majesty’s Secret Service’. A stop at the terrace in Birg is worth it.

Schilthorn - Piz Gloria - If you want to go to the peak of a mountain in Switzerland, by cable car, this is it. The journey to Schilthorn is enchanting: a cable car ride from Stechelberg transports you to Piz Gloria, a revolving restaurant perched on the summit. The 360-degree panorama unfolds—lush valleys, pristine lakes, and jagged peaks stretching into infinity. James Bond aficionados will recognize Piz Gloria as the lair of Blofeld in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” And please... Don’t miss the Skyline View platform, where you can spot 200 mountain peaks on a clear day.

cable car awful but the view at the top was spectacular - The views at the top are fabulous but frankly the cable car was awful. From the base at Stechelberg you have to change cable cars 3 times and each time they pack people like sardines till you can barely breathe, so it was quite scary for our little ones and the dog, and the waiting times between one coming and going is quite long.

Great engineering, but human side to see again! - exceptional site; Piz gloria restorative, very welcoming shop, a summit unequalled to all points of view, EXCEPT the staff in charge of checking dss tickets, unkind, not cooperative toput, speaking only German, in no way concerned to help the French visitor not finding his bllets on his phone.
And upstream lacks explanation on the fact that Murren, at the end of the Michelin map, is not accessible and that only the Check-out from below is possible.
Too bad these elements cast a shadow over the whole, which remains a unique and impressive experience.

Great views in the middle of a building site - Cable cars rammed full of people at all stops , every level is a building site due to the redevelopment , the cable cars are efficient and easy to get on and off as the journey to the top consists of changing around 4 times . The top is good fun great views and the james bond experience is fun. Murren is a great place to visit on the way down and nice views from places to eat and drink . It cost just under 400 chf for 3 6-15 and 2 adults , the building site status of every level is not a good look and you should visit when the work is done .
The picture of the cement mixer is what everyone had to walk by to get to murren as this is the path out of the cable car stop . Not ideal to be honest .
Well worth a visit in 2027 when work is finished and we will be back

Schilthorn experience - Highly NOT recommend to go until they finish the reconstruction. Cable car is very old and inside is so hot we almost passed out. Seriously do not go until they finish reconstruction. On top of that it was so foggy that we did not see anything so before you go make sure to check live camera for the view.
Lastly terrible and very exhausting experience. Money poured down the drain. Definitely not worth the price.
Rather go for Titlis in Engelberg.
