Great show. I sat on the... - Great show. I sat on the front row and he was on my ass. The jokes were coming nonstop. He was great and authentic. Definitely loved when he started speaking on the truth and showed his conscious side.

We had some great laughs. - We caught the Eddie Griffin show in Las Vegas, and it was pretty good overall. He definitely delivered plenty of laughs, and we enjoyed the experience. Some of his material might come off as a bit offensive to certain people, but that’s to be expected at a comedy show—especially his style of comedy. The show ran for about two hours, and it kept us entertained the whole time.

Don't waste your time or money - Venue was to tight, seats were uncomfortable. I love Eddie, but he was not funny. The VIP tickets was a waste of money, you received nothing but a 1x1 photo.

I made the mistake of buying the tickets before reading the reviews. - Denver Improv December 2025: I made the mistake of buying the tickets before reading the reviews. Here is my take on it. My gf and I caught the 2nd show on the 1st night and we sat up pretty close towards the front. I was excited to see Eddie as I have enjoyed his comedy over the years. I was totally disappointed. When he came on stage he wasn't too drunk, but enough to at least crack a few jokes and set the tone. However, you couldnt hear anything he was saying the entire night, he barely held the microphone near his mouth. Then the he didnt really have any jokes planned out. It was more of him just blabbing about nonsense; some funny, some just random stuff that didnt make sense. I was really really trying to enjoy the show and I just couldnt. He did say some funny stuff an bashed on politics, but then he just went on rambling about his penis, which at first it was funny, but then the joke was kinda over and he kept on. I didnt tell my gf anything about the reviews before the show because I didnt want her to feel biased after reading the reviews. She totally agrees that the show wasnt worth it and glad she went once and wouldnt go again. Glad I saw him once in my lifetime LIVE, but would I do it again? Absolutely NOT.

Drunk, bitter and racist show. AVOID at all costs - Very disappointed in the show last night in Vegas at the Elara. I am not sure if it was just all the liquor he was drinking or if it’s his deep rooted bitterness towards all other races but the show was unbearable. He rambled on about nonsensical topics, especially racial and political views where no jokes were made, just irrational statements. He has years of great material, so we were shocked this was as bad as it was. After coming here to check other reviews, it sounds like this wasn’t a one off night. Don’t waste your time or money on this angry, bitter, drunk, washed up guy

Trash - Don't waste your money on going to see Eddie Griffith. The beginning started okay but the more he drank the worse it got. His conspiracy theories were not comedy therefore not funny. So sorry I wasted my time and money.

Not worth the money spent - Before we entered the seating area, everyone had to put their phones on silent & put them in a neoprene like pouch that was secured by the staff. We were told that they would be unlocked as we exited the show. This show started LATE. We had VIP tickets but it was nothing special. Just a photo strip (3- 1” pics). Eddie didn’t do much jokes. Just talked about his life for about 3 hours. Not much comedy in this show. Maybe he was tired of this gig after doing this for 40 years. Also he was very drunk. He had maybe 8 drinks & kept rambling on about things like slavery & not much interacting with the audience except for 3 females in the front row that had way too much to say. He had security remove them from the show. I would not recommend this show.

Please come back! - I hate to say this, but Eddie Griffin was one of the best. The show he performed this past week in Las Vegas honestly made me sick. Throughout the set, he would yell “Arm!” — and Arm would hand him another shot of something. Over and over. He got drunk right in front of the audience. He even said he had nothing prepared because the alcohol makes him funny. It doesn’t. It made the entire performance sloppy and hard to watch. At one point, I was honestly wishing this was the old-school Apollo Theater, where the clown would come out and drag him off the stage when it was clear the show had gone off the rails. Comedy can be raw. Comedy can be profane. But great comics are prepared. Richard Pryor cursed. Eddie Murphy cursed. They were never sloppy. They were intentional. Sharp. In control. The worst part for me was seeing his kids there, supporting him. That part hurt. Dude — get it together. Please come back to greatness. I still believe there’s something powerful in you. I hope you find it again!
