Amazing Sunset Horseback Ride & BBQ in Mendoza - We had such a great time on the sunset horseback ride at Gaucho Estate. It’s only about 20 minutes from Mendoza city, but once you’re there it feels completely remote, with amazing mountain views the whole way. It also included pickup and drop off at my hotel which made travel simple. The group was small and relaxed, and the local gauchos (cowboys) were welcoming and knowledgeable, which made the experience feel very authentic. After about two hours of riding, we sat down to a delicious barbecue with vegetables and plenty of Malbec to enjoy. Nothing felt rushed or touristy - just a really memorable experience. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Mendoza and can squeeze a nice sunset ride and meal. Note - the horse back riding is a bit more intermediate.

Fantastic experience - What a few hours we had with Diego and the team. When we booked to come to Mendoza I really wanted to have a gaucho experience as part of our trip. We did a search and found Diego and we were not disappointed. After originally booking an afternoon trip we were asked if we'd like to join up with sunset trip instead, so we joined that group for a 2 hour trek and BBQ. The horses are well looked after, patient and ready to take on all-comers. We had a mixed group of ability and the horses were picked expertly to accommodate our experience levels. Diego briefed us on how to get the most out of our horses and gave us some excellent tips on horsemanship. When we returned to base we had an excellent BBQ, wine, a campfire and sing-a-long.  A great night that will live our memories for a long time.

Horseback riding Mendoza - An experience with simple and super friendly people. Everything was perfect thanks to Magali and Diego. Everything is safe.

Wonderful way to end our trip! - Of all the wonderful things we did in Buenos Aires and Mendoza, this was tops. What a lovey way to end our trip - horseback riding through the first Andes range at sunset and then having dinner by campfire. Diego was absolutely fabulous - keeping a close eye on the inexperienced riders in our group and keeping them confident, and when he pulled out a guitar and sang after dinner his voice blew us away. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing riding and asado experience! - 100/10 experience with Diego and his team! My family went as a group of 5 with no prior horseback riding experience and Diego gave us great guidance in riding on our own!! He also made the asado experience at the end truly special with his great voice!! I would 100% book with them again given the opportunity!

The staff was wonderful... - The staff was wonderful and attentive, the food was delicious and abundant, the atmosphere was serene and gorgeous, the bonfire and guitar music after the meal were the perfect ending to an unforgettable adventure.

Wonderful experience! - So much fun. Very well organized. Great horses, amazing guide, beautiful scenery. It gets cold so bring a jacket, if not two.

Mountain, horses and a good roast - The experience is really very good. Diego came to pick us up at the hotel and from there it was very nice. We really enjoyed the ride between the mountains and then we were waiting for a roast in the shelter while it got dark and the fire pit warmed the Mood. The whole team at Gaucho Estate is always attentive that we were comfortable and enjoying everything. Very good experience full of nature with Mendoza landscape! Thank you!

A great experience on horseback with a delicious lunch - Trip re-arranged from sunset to following morning due to bad weather, but so glad we went, even though very hot! Just 4 of us on the tour with an experienced guide who matched our horses to us and made sure along the two hour route that we were all ok. Great way to see the mountain terrain and my horse was very calm and didn’t need much guiding from me. Delicious BBQ lunch once we got back to the ranch and transfer back into the city.

Disappointed in late communication. - We booked this activity and the afternoon of it we got a message from the host asking if we’d like to move the reservation to the next day as we were their only reservations. When we explained that we could not due to other commitments, we were then told that the trails might be too muddy to use as there was rain in that area (though just a quick sprinkle in Mendoza downtown) the day before. Then we received a final message 15 minutes before pick up time that the activity had to be cancelled and would we like to reschedule.
