Creating art was his way of interacting with the outside world; he preferred to invite the world to visit him rather than venturing out. Thousands of visitors come to the park annually. • Lusto - The Finnish Forest Museum - Following the museum visit, we head to the Museo Restaurant Lusto. This restaurant, led by award-winning chef Ilkka Lääveri, offers meals in a splendid setting, surrounded by the beautiful eastern Finnish ridge and lake scenery. Located next to the Finnish Forest Museum Lusto in Punkaharju, the restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients and offers a menu with options for lunch, dinner, or snacks. Vegan choices are always available, and most menu items are already gluten-free and lactose-free. You can choose your preferred dishes from a three-course set menu or A-la-carte.
• Punkaharju Ridge - The Punkaharju esker ridge has been a renowned tourist spot for two centuries due to its breathtaking natural beauty. It is one of Finland’s national landscapes, with stunning lake views framed by majestic pines as its main attraction. We will drive along the ridge road, celebrated as one of the world’s most beautiful drives, stopping at viewpoints for photos and walking some trails (time and weather permitting).
