Cajun Pride Swamp Tour with Bishop - Our swamp tour with Bishop was excellent... all the alligators have been waking up from hibernation the last couple weeks... we saw so many... out tour guide was fun and entertaining. This is a must do if you come to New Orleans. I should add our bus driver gave us a tour of sites and attractions on the way to the tour!! Great for all ages!!

Fantastic Combo Tour - There were 8 of us deciding whether to do the swamp tour or Plantation tour and our friend stumbled upon this combo tour through Cajun Swamp Tours. It was a great choice for us as we got to do both activities. The swamp tour was amazing - we learned so much about life in the swamp and how important it is to protect it and the animals that live there. Our captain *Captain Allen" was very knowledgeable and a colorful character to say the least. It was very fun and relaxing as well. After the swamp tour, we went to the Oak Valley Plantation and that was absolutely amazing. Such incredible history of a bygone era. Again, our guide through the house was very knowledgeable about the history and the property. I would highly recommend this tour as you get to enjoy two very special and unique places. Thank you for a great tour Cajun Swamp Tours - one of the highlights of our trip!!!

Fun, informative, and plenty of gators! - Captain Bishop entertained and informed us for over 1.5 hours. He clearly respects the alligators and their future. We were fortunate to see over 20 alligators and Captain Bishop kept it humorous the whole time. We took this as a combination package with Gray Line tours as part of a plantation tour. Wonderful combo trip. Highly recommend it!

Great trip - Booked the day before and everything was just great. Bus picked us up right on time and excellent commentary on way to swamp tour. Capt. Bishop was very knowledgeable and entertaining on board, and we saw plenty of wildlife. Plantation tour was good and Oak Alley is amazing.

Great day out - We decided to do the tour only the day before going. I needed to clarify our pickup as our hotel wasn’t listed so I rang the company and they were amazingly helpful. Bus was spot on time and everything was clockwork. Bayou was the highlight. Capt Bishop was very entertaining and knowledgeable on the swamp boat. Thoroughly recommend this part of the trip. Plantation tour was good and the self guided bits were interesting.

Captain Allen - Captain Allen was amazing! So smart! He taught me so much about Aligators and I appreciated it. He did the best tour I could have asked for!

Great tour but rushed - We took the swamp plantation combo tour. The swamp tour was really great and very informative. When we finished the swamp tour we were rushed to the plantation and then we had an hour wait in line for the tour and then a 45 minute tour. There was not a lot of time to relax and enjoy the grounds or eat lunch. I can see why people choose the combo tours because it is an hour outside of New Orleans but if I had to do it again I would do the swamp tour one day ,and then see the plantations on my own or take that tour separately.

Avoid Jan - not bad, but the drivers expected too much on tips. On my bus, no one tips, but I did to make driver feel better. There is not too much to see.

Poorly managed, swamp tour not worth it during the winter - During the swamp tour, it was below expectations, as almost all alligators were hibernating (except baby ones). Captain Danny was knowledgeable about the bayou and provided us with a lot of info. The driver to the swamp was also knowledgeable and had good insight on various landmarks. However, our plantation experience was awful. We were not allocated enough time to start the tour. The driver told us that the tour began at 3:10, however, the tour did not start until 3:30, as it was a first come first serve for the tour of the house. Consequently, we missed our pickup time at at 4:15, there was nothing we could have done with the amount of time allocated, considering around 20-30 minutes was spent waiting in line for a mansion without being told to wait for it. We did not have any time to explore the rest of the plantation, include the slave houses and parts of the garden. We ran because the driver threatened to leave us when it was his own poor communication that had caused the delay. My personal recommendation is that it would have been nice know that the alligator were hibernating during the winter seasons and to have better time allocations for the different parts of the tour. I would also recommend removing the driver as it did ruin our overall experience with Cajun Pride.
