Lanzhou-Xi’an (Terra-cotta Warriors)-Beijing (L)

Railway Station Residential District - The driver will meet the operator in the lobby of their Lanzhou hotel and transfer them to Lanzhou Railway Station for a 3-hour bullet train journey to Xi’an.

Upon arrival, the tour guide will be waiting at the exit of the arrival hall with a sign displaying the operator’s name.

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - The tour will proceed directly to the Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses. During the journey, the tour guide will share relevant histories and stories, and the operator is encouraged to ask any questions.

The museum is divided into three sections: No.1 Pit, No.2 Pit, and No.3 Pit. The original site was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974 and has since become Xi’an’s most significant attraction. The operator can explore the museum and gain valuable insights from the tour guide.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant, followed by a transfer to Xi’an International Airport for a flight to Beijing. (2.5 hours)

Beijing - Upon arrival in Beijing, the driver will collect the operator from the airport and take them to their hotel in Beijing.

Tiananmen Square-Forbidden City-Great Wall at Mutianyu (L)

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At 8:00 am, the tour guide and driver will meet the operator in the lobby of their Beijing hotel, with the first stop being Tian’anmen Square.

Tian’anmen Square is the world’s largest public square, home to the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the Monument to the People’s Heroes. The operator can follow the tour guide, stroll along the square, and learn about the histories and stories behind it.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - From there, the tour will pass through the South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City - a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions, and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for over 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. The operator can see ancient treasures from thousands of years of history and admire the maze of palaces, gardens, and stunning courtyards as the guide shares their histories and stories.

Mutianyu Great Wall - Afterward, a traditional Chinese lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Then, the operator can relax on the 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. This section is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than the more famous Badaling section. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards.

The operator can follow the tour guide to hike up and down different towers and enjoy the convenient cable car round trip or toboggan ride at the wall.

After the tour concludes, the operator will be transferred to the airport for their return flight. Upon arrival in Chengdu, they will be greeted and driven back to their hotel. Alternatively, they can choose to finish their tour in Beijing.
