Pottery is a significant part of Nepalese culture, with its origins tracing back over 2,600 years. These pots are integral to daily life, used for storing and transporting water, as well as for decoration. Crafted on a traditional potter’s wheel, they are adorned with classic Nepali designs.

The process begins with molding the clay into small animal shapes, reminiscent of childhood memories. This step is crucial for learning how to achieve the right clay consistency for shaping, while also being a source of fun and excitement. Next, the pottery wheel offers an exhilarating experience as you find the center point and shape the clay into various pots, adding traditional designs and patterns. The pottery master will also demonstrate other designs and share insights into the history of pottery making.
