Pottery is an integral part of Nepalese culture, with its art dating back over 2,600 years. These pots are essential in daily life, used for storing and transporting water, as well as for decoration. Crafted on a traditional potter’s wheel, they are adorned with classic Nepali designs.

The process begins with molding the clay into small animal shapes, evoking childhood memories. This step is crucial for learning how to achieve the right clay consistency for shaping, while also providing plenty of fun and excitement. Transitioning to the pottery wheel brings a thrilling experience, as one finds the center point and shapes the clay into various pots, incorporating traditional designs and patterns. The pottery master also demonstrates other designs and shares insights into the history of pottery making.
