Nairobi to Ol Pejeta
Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Upon arrival at the airport or your Nairobi hotel, a representative from our company will greet you. Following a brief orientation, you will set off with your driver guide, traveling north to this remarkable conservancy located directly on the equator, west of Nanyuki, nestled between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. You will arrive in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp. After checking in and enjoying lunch, take some time to relax before departing the camp for an evening game drive, which begins at 3:30 PM and concludes at 6:30 PM. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha - Following breakfast, embark on a 5-hour journey to Lake Naivasha, named from the local Maasai term Nai’posha, meaning “rough waters” due to the sudden storms that can occur. En route, you will pause briefly at Thompson’s Falls, a picturesque 74-meter-high waterfall on the Ewaso Ngiro River, located a few kilometers from Lake Ol Bolossat. Upon reaching your accommodation, check in, enjoy lunch, and begin your afternoon exploration of this stunning freshwater lake with a boat safari. Later, disembark at the shores for a walking safari on Crescent Island, amidst giraffes, Thomson’s gazelles, wildebeest, and impalas, among other herbivores, as the sun sets over the African horizon, concluding your afternoon adventure.
Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After an early breakfast, journey to the unparalleled savannahs of Maasai Mara through the Kedong and Suswa plains, with a brief stop in Narok town. Continue to the land of the renowned warriors of the wild, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. As one of Kenya’s most frequented game reserves, the Mara boasts an extraordinary density of wildlife, including the Big Five and a variety of plains game. The Mara River traverses the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, sustaining both game reserves before flowing into Lake Victoria. The instinct-driven migration of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara is a highlight of this safari. The animals must outpace predators along the way, adding to the spectacle. The afternoon game drive begins at 4:00 PM, returning to your accommodation as the sun sets, casting a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African skies.
Full Day Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Spend the second day in Mara exploring the vast grassland savannahs, with options for full-day, half-day, or morning and afternoon game drives. The choice depends on wildlife sightings, migration patterns, and current weather conditions. Hot air balloon rides and visits to traditional Maasai communities for a glimpse into their rich culture can also be arranged.
