Guru Nanak, as a young man, was sent by his father, Mehta Kalu, who hoped to instill a sense of business in his son, to purchase goods to sell for a profit.
However, on his journey, young Nanak encountered some hungry sadhus. He decided to use the money his father gave him (Rs. 20) to provide a meal, a langar, for the sadhus. Returning home without any purchases, Mehta Kalu was displeased. But Nanak explained that he had done a good deed by feeding the starving sadhus, gaining the best profit from the money. This would not be the last time Mehta Kalu worried about his son.

Shahi Qila Lahore - The Lahore Fort is a citadel in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The fortress is located at the northern end of the Walled City of Lahore and covers an area greater than 49 acres. The Lahore Fort is notable for being almost entirely rebuilt in the 17th century, during the Mughal Empire’s height of splendor and opulence.
The first record of a fortified structure at the site was an 11th-century mudbrick fort. The foundations of the modern Lahore Fort date to 1566 during Emperor Akbar’s reign. Additions from the Shah Jahan period are characterized by luxurious marble with inlaid Persian floral designs, while the fort’s grand and iconic Alamgiri Gate was constructed by the last of the great Mughal emperors, Aurangzeb, and faces the renowned Badshahi Mosque.
After the fall of the Mughal Empire, Lahore Fort was used as the residence of Emperor Ranjit Singh, founder of the Sikh Empire. The Sikhs made several additions to the fort.
