Great experience - The tour was educational and delicious. We learned about the local culture and got to meet many small business owners while trying fresh and delicious local foods. Our host was kind and accommodating for dietary restrictions

Do it! - Super fun time! Good food, good guide, nice group of people. Great way to try different local specialties. The sting ray was surprisingly good! The guide was very personable and knowledgeable!

Sophia the tour guide was... - Sophia the tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the foods, the culture and the area. The food we tasted were amazing from the pork sandwich to the bean stew everything was excellent.

Interesting, fun and delicious. - This might be the best thing to participate in Lagos. We enjoyed most interesting guidance from Louis about history, food, culture and how they are connected. We visited different restaurants and tried delicious delicasies. Lovely evening and excellent food. ❤️

Great food and tour of Lagos - Sophia gave us the best food tour imaginable. We visited three different restaurants and got to try 9 different local dishes. Sophia was a great guide, very knowledgeable of both the dishes and the history of Lagos. We were a small company which also gave us time to chat and get to know each other a little bit. All and all a perfect evening!

All about Lagos food and history - They are going to eat a lot! Sophia was friendly and knowledgeable not only about the food and drinks but about the history and culture. We had four people so it was like going out with friends

Kind guide, pleasant evening, but not worth €200 - I appreciated the sweetness and knowledge of our guide, and the evening was pleasant. Timing and number of stops seemed appropriate. Still, it did not feel like good value. We visited three spots and had one drink at each. The first stop included four tastings, the second had two, and the last had two including dessert. Tastings were mostly two small tapas-style portions split among four couples, so there were no real meals. The restaurant picks felt fair and the wine was just okay. After reflecting on the experience, I feel the €200 would have been better spent elsewhere. We actually left our kayak tour with more practical, written recommendations.
Tip for the operator: Consider sharing a simple handout or text with the names of each dish and drink, plus where we had them. I wanted to use the tour to learn Portuguese food terms and expand my palate, without taking notes during the evening. I did not see menus and could not recall the names afterward. A written list would help guests order more confidently for the rest of their trip.
