Fun Change of Pace - Great change of pace day. Relaxing farm to table meal under a 2000 year old tree with 3 types of their wine which is actually quite good. Then a short tour. Definitely recommend especially on a nice day.

Would repeat & definitely recommend - Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch & short tour here. Very sociable as you get to sit with other likeminded visitors. All wines we tried were excellent.. sitting under a 2000yr old olive tree on a hot day for lunch with views of the Monchique mountains was a real treat.

Fun and enjoyable afternoon - A really fun and enjoyable afternoon. Farmers table lunch under the 2000 year old olive tree, sampling good wine (1 white, 1 red and 1 rosé) with traditional food. Host was friendly and knowledgeable. Good mixture of people.

Delightful pairing of wine and food - Absolutely stunning location, beautiful wines and delicious food. We were served countless courses and even on a table of big eaters food was being sent back because we couldn’t manage it all!

A lovely visit - We really enjoyed our lunch at the Morgado do Quintão. We visited in February so were seated indoors in the very lovely main room. We were able to walk around outside and then eat indoors. We met a nice couple to share lunch with as everyone eats at a communal table. The staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. The food was traditional portuguese food but you can let them know if you don't eat a particular type of food. It was good to try the local wine with the food. We enjoyed this experience

Wine, warmth, welcomes - The shared table with excellent food & wine tasting, combined with a knowledgeable and courteous hostess in a beautiful historic farmhouse setting, is a must do to have a quintessential Portuguese experience of the agricultural Algarve.

Authentic vineyard experience - We had dinner and wine tasting under the olive tree.
The venue is stunning - a well kept area by the edge of the vineyard under an impressive old olive tree. The sunset is worth a visit on its own!
The food is traditional fare done well but this is not haute cuisine and is not pretending to be. We enjoyed the food as it did complement the wine from the vineyard.
Morris (the host) was knowledgeable, friendly, and added to the whole experience.
This is a locally owned vineyard trying to find extra income to invest in reinvigorating the vineyard. This is what you are supporting when you visit - a worthwhile project!
On the negative side when you arrive there is not much of a welcome, and Morris could do with some more help at ‘front of house’

Beautiful domain, too expensive - Food was tasty, wine was moderate and too little, price quality was overpriced, staff was friendly but hasty, very brief explanation about wine estate

Disappointing - This was our second visit and unfortunately it will be our last.
The food was the basically the same as the previous visit, with a main course of pork, salad and potatoes. Odd really because the wines we were served were described as being perfect with seafood and fish. Hmmm.
Then the wine. We received a tiny amount of 3 different wines, a white, followed by a red, then a rose. All served in the same glass.
To put the quantity in perspective, the gentleman pouring managed to serve 23 people with 3 bottles each time and still had wine left. That equates to around 90ml each per wine. So we each had in total about a third of a bottle to accompany a 3 course meal.
Considering we had paid €63 each for the ‘experience’ that is poor value. We can have a 3 course meal with fresh fish and a bottle of wine for €100 for two people at a really good beach restaurant.
On the previous visit the gentleman hosting shared a lot about this history of the Quinta. This time we got nothing just some basic info on the grapes used to make each wine.
The setting is gorgeous, and the potential is enormous, but there is too much competition on the Algarve for this to be somewhere that we would recommend.
The saving grace was Ricardo who was fascinating, friendly and fun. The rest of the staff were invisible.
