Pirate cave is the best 🤩 for parking, trust the instructions from here 👍 - The instructions are clear with regard to parking and meeting time. The guides are great and nice, helping us take pictures, explaining the things we see and telling great stories. The sea is wavy but it's more stable than I thought in the kayak. It's indeed pretty crowded out there with different kayak and boats. The pirate cave is very fun to kayak through! Out of expectations 🤩 and even better than the main Penagil "cave". It's a bit scary to go in with the wave but definitely worth going through! Ah, it's impossible to stay dry and there are a bunch of seaweeds...they have a toilet and shower at the meeting point but we regret not bringing our towels and clothes for change. 😅 They also provide dry bag and a camera monitored lockers (need to bring a lock if you want to actually lock it).
With regard to parking: On the way to the main parking (by the 5euro voucher parking lot), the road is kind of blocked saying you need to be the client of some restaurants so we decided to park near the 5euro parking. It's a voucher for the bar by the beach so it's practically free. However, you need to have cash because the ATM right next to the parking lot charges 5euro (4.99) fee. But we later realize that we should just go past the sign and head to the main parking lot as instructed in the post and it'll be free. Anyway, at least it's somewhat safe parked at a place with a person watching.

Unforgettable Kayaking Experience – Highly Recommended! - Smooth Last-Minute Booking: We booked the night before, and everything went without a hitch.
Friendly & Professional Staff: The team was relaxed, welcoming, informative, and professional throughout.
Arrival & Timing:
We booked the 10:30am slot, but the safety briefing started around 10:45am, and kayaking began at 11am.
The advised arrival time (~15 minutes early) is already built into the 10:30am booking.
We were rushing, thinking we were late, when actually we were pretty early, good to know!
Parking Tip:
The car park up the hill costs €3 cash only, no card payments.
Bring cash in advance to avoid last-minute stress.
Toilet Tip:
If you plan to use the toilet at the office, bring your own toilet paper just in case, it may not be stocked.
What to Wear & Bring:
Wear swimwear, it might sound obvious, but it’s not mentioned in the booking info, and if you’ve never kayaked before, it’s easy to overlook.
You’ll be given a dry bag for your belongings.
If you want to take photos, I highly recommend bringing a clear waterproof phone pouch with a lanyard so your phone is easily accessible.
The Experience Itself:
We explored the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail by kayak, and it was absolutely breathtaking.
Having seen parts of the coast around Lagos before, this was on another level, truly unforgettable.

kayaking to the caves of bengil - very nice, unique experience. Super beautiful the famous cave of Benagil but also the others we entered. Too bad you can no longer get off kayaks in caves, but still an experience to do

Excellent tour company, Trip advisor please update meeting spot - Secret Algavre is an excellent kayaking tour company to explore Benagil caves. Very informative and professional… They should receive 5 stars. However Trip advisor’s meeting location is not accurate and should be updated, as we could have easily missed the meeting spot if we didn’t plan accordingly. Plan to be 15 mins prior to your departure time and it’s only a short walk down from the parking spot; if you get to where everyone is to depart with kayaks, you’re too far. I would suggest Secret Algave to visit Benagil caves hands down. Thank you for the great tour.

Cool experience, but too big a group - The guides did a good job. But for me the group was much too big, which is why there was some chaos.

Kayak Benagil big group - It is not clear how to get to the meeting point. The Google link did not work on my cell (map). Although we had left well in advance, we arrived 13 minutes late. When we arrived, the guide asked everyone (about 30 people) to applaud me and finally be there. Although we acknowledge that our delay is a little disrespectful for the rest of the participants, the Welcoming was not necessary, as we already felt bad about the situation.
Also, there are about 28 participants, which makes the tour a bit flat — there are a lot of waiting periods (sending subgroups to explore the caves).
Otherwise, the activity is very pleasant. We visit several caves. We're still getting good value for our money.
Despite the minor glitches, we would still recommend this company to others. But be sure to read the instructions they send when buying tickets.
Small recommendation: there is a lot of traffic in this area, many boats, kayak and waves can be a little hectic there. Personally, I think kayaking is okay, but I wouldn't do it paddleboarding. There are other places very close and much quieter to go paddleboarding.
