Los Glaciares National Park - The excursion includes a 20-minute boat ride to the Perito Moreno Glacier and a 1.5-hour trek over the ice to explore every corner of the Glacier. At the end of the trek, adults can enjoy a whisky on ice (from the glacier!) to warm up.
Glaciers Gourmet Experience
Los Glaciares National Park - After a morning pickup from your hotel in El Calafate, you’ll transfer to the pier to board a luxury cruise through Los Glaciares National Park. The cruise provides the best full-day option for travelers wishing to intimately visit the Spegazzini and Upsala Glaciers or the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Lago Argentino - The “Glaciers Gourmet Experience” offers the chance to navigate Lago Argentino in search of the “Spirit of Glaciers.” With walls over 50 meters (164 feet) high, deep blue ancient ice, and breathtaking icebergs, it’s the perfect setting to appreciate nature’s splendor.
Glaciar Spegazzini - We will sail on Lago Argentino towards Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, reaching the Canal Spegazzini to view the glacier of the same name. The navigation allows us to approach the glacier, which has front walls between 80 and 135 meters (262 – 443 feet) above lake level. The cruise will stop at Puesto de Las Vacas, a serene bay in the Canal Spegazzini, where passengers can enjoy a delightful walk led by our team of guides. This stop offers stunning panoramic views of the Spegazzini glacier.
Upsala Glacier - The journey continues towards the Herminita Peninsula. The diverse colors and shapes of the ice floes signal the proximity of the Upsala glacier. We will pause in front of the ice floe barrier currently blocking the entrance to Canal Upsala. If weather conditions permit, we will observe the Upsala glaciers from a distance.
A gourmet lunch box is served during the cruise.
We continue navigating to Canal de los Tempano to finally reach the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is constantly advancing and causing the spectacular rupture of the ice wall, offering one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights. Return to the pier and to El Calafate.
