- Fungo Di Lacco Ameno - The island tour proceeds in a counter-clockwise direction around the island’s perimeter, allowing for more coastal views with the sea consistently on the right. The first stop, after passing through Casamicciola Terme and receiving an insightful explanation of Ischia’s first historical spa location, is a delightful photo opportunity at the renowned “Fungo” of Lacco Ameno. This unique “green tuff” rock, with its distinctive shape, stands in the sea right off the coast of this charming tourist center on the island of Ischia.
- Baia di San Montano - After capturing the Mushroom of Lacco Ameno, a visit to the “famous” Bay of San Montano is a must. Known as the most Caribbean-like bay on the island of Ischia, it is surrounded by lush vegetation and pristine nature. From our vantage point, we can enjoy a panoramic view of one of Ischia’s most celebrated thermal parks, Negombo.
- Punta Caruso - After exploring the smallest municipality on the island, Lacco Ameno, the tour continues through the largest municipality by area, Forio d’Ischia. This journey includes a visit to the island’s most beautiful and renowned Botanical Garden, La Mortella, and leads to one of Ischia’s most stunning viewpoints, Punta Caruso, perfect for capturing memorable holiday photographs.
- Chiesa del Soccorso - While in the Municipality of Forio, a visit to the magnificent Church of Soccorso is essential. It is the most beautiful and famous church on the island, a popular wedding venue, and an extraordinary structure overlooking the sea, serving as a landmark for fishermen.
- Sant’Angelo - After traversing Forio d’Ischia, the tour enters the municipality of Serrara Fontana. Here, a longer stop is warranted at Sant’ Angelo, a picturesque fishing village and pedestrian-friendly tourist spot by the sea. Often referred to as “an island within an island,” it is reminiscent of a small Positano.
- Belvedere di Serrara - Following the visit to Sant’Angelo, the tour ascends to the island’s upper region, approximately 400 meters above sea level. Here, a photo stop offers a breathtaking view of the Isolotto di Sant’ Angelo (Torre), with the option to enjoy an aperitif or coffee at a local bar. The tour then proceeds to Fontana, another inhabited area in the island’s hilly municipality.
- Maronti Beach - After crossing the hilly municipality of Serrara Fontana, the tour enters another elevated municipality, Barano, the last stop before returning to the main municipality of Ischia, the tour’s starting point. In Barano, a photo session at Maronti Beach, the island’s most beautiful and famous beach, is a highlight.
- Castello Aragonese - Following the Belvedere dei Maronti, the tour concludes. Participants can choose to return to the starting point or be dropped off in the historic village of Ischia Ponte, located 2 km from the Port of Ischia. Here, visitors can explore and spend time in the island’s most picturesque and historic village, with the opportunity to visit the Aragonese Castle, recognized by the New York Times as one of the world’s top 10 most beautiful castles.
