Just do it! You won't regret it! - We can highly recommend Phu Lu Travel. Mr. Deng and Mr. Nom know a lot about the forrest and the wildlife. Our guide, Mr. Nom grew up in a tribe himself. The phi lu organization does lot's of good to preserve the locals and the wildlife. We had 3 amazing days in the jungle.

Must-do survivial trekking in the beautiful jungle of Laos - We booked this 3 day trekking tour after a recommendation from a fellow backpacker and it definitely did not disappoint. With 4 people we had 3 local guides, of which one spoke perfectly good english. He showed us everything the forest had to offer, from munching red ants on the trees to medicinal and cooking plants or leaves. The survival activities included hunting on frogs and having them in a bbq after, 3-4 hours trekking up and down hills, fishing, building your own banana leaf hut in the jungle and the possibility of swimming/bathing in the river. It was breathtakingly beautiful, not only the views itself but the forest is alive. You wake up with birds and animals and the sound of the small creek flowing. Would highly recommend as a must do activity in Laos, with this amazing tour company full of lovely people and guides.

Definitely worth it! - It already started with the good contact with Deang about the options and availability. We had to trade some days and that was no problem. For our 3 day tour we got Nom as a guide. What a great guide this was! He knew a lot about the jungle and every half hour we got to taste something or see interesting. The combination between camping on the river and the day after in an authentic village is just so much fun. In the village everyone was friendly and we learned a lot. Unfortunately, a fellow villager was well drunk so we did not sleep so well, but this can happen anywhere. All in all, fantastic experience, a real Laos feeling. As icing on the cake I got a hand cut and decorated bamboo cup.
