Luang Namtha Province - Morning: Set off from Luang Namtha town, covering a distance of 20 km to reach Doiluckkham. Embark on a trek through secondary forest, progressing into the upland rainforest of Nam Ha NPA. Lunch: Relish a Lao-style picnic amidst the forest. Afternoon: Continue the hike for 2-3 hours under the canopy of ancient trees, reaching Nalan village before dusk. After checking in, take time to explore the village and immerse in the local lifestyle. Evening: Savor a dinner of local dishes, followed by engaging in community activities.
From Nalan Village to Chalernsouk Village or Nahome-Namlue Village
Luang Namtha Province - Morning: Explore the village, enjoy Lao coffee or local tea, and try crossbow shooting and rice pounding. Breakfast: Delight in a traditional breakfast.
• Option 1: (3-4 hours hike) Trek uphill through the forest, with a traditional lunch served along the forest path. Continue the descent to Chalernsouk village, where a tuk-tuk will transport you back to Luang Namtha.
• Option 2: (5-6 hours hike) Follow the Nam Ha River to Nahome village, traversing cultivated lands of the Khmu and Lanten minority groups. Visit the village to learn about their traditional crafts. After lunch, ascend a steep hill into the jungle, concluding at Namlue village. Return to Luang Namtha by tuk-tuk.
