- Cinque Terre - Embark on a guided tour of Cinque Terre for a seamless experience in one of the world’s most unique and evocative locations. Explore the terraced hills crafted by human hands in Italy’s smallest National Park. The tour includes visits to three enchanting villages: Manarola, Vernazza, and Monterosso. Begin with a train ride to Manarola, surrounded by vineyards, where you can capture one of the world’s most iconic photos of the bay encircled by colorful houses. Enjoy views of Corniglia, the smallest village. Continue by train to Vernazza, one of the oldest villages, still guarded by a fortress now housing a renowned restaurant. Proceed to Monterosso, the largest village and the only one with a beach, featuring both medieval and modern sections. Stroll through the medieval streets and enjoy lunch before returning to La Spezia by train. The tour can be conducted by train or ferry.
- Manarola - The first village on the itinerary. After a brief train ride, begin an uphill walk to reach the village’s most stunning viewpoint. Follow a trail to explore both the upper and lower parts of the village, the latter by the water. Capture the iconic image of Cinque Terre, the small bay with colorful houses in the background. The walk offers breathtaking views and a delightful stroll among the vineyards.
- Vernazza - Among the oldest villages in Cinque Terre, with origins dating back to 1000 AD. It is the only village with a port and fortress system, boasting a rich history as a commercial and military port, and a “safe haven” for the Maritime Republic of Genoa. Walk along the main street to the port, take a few photos, then ascend to the path leading to Monterosso for stunning views of the bay.
- Monterosso al Mare - The largest and one of the oldest villages, divided into two parts since the railway’s construction. Known as the “Riviera of Cinque Terre,” it features two beaches. Explore the old section through medieval paths, admire the beautiful rosette windows of the parish church, and the skillful “trompe l’oeil” paintings. The Oratory of the Blacks is also worth visiting, where angels, skeletons, and saints are artistically combined to celebrate life and death.
- Corniglia - The smallest village in Cinque Terre, with only 250 residents, is the most agricultural and is perched on a hill overlooking the azure ocean of the Cinque Terre National Park. Accessible by car or by hiking the famous blue-green trail connecting Riomaggiore to Monterosso. From the train station, there are 400 steps to the center, but a shuttle is available.
