Definitely would not recommend!!! - I read other reviews and thought maybe people were being too nit-picky... But they weren't! And I'm no "Karen" but this excursion was a train wreck from the get go. The lack of planning, lack of complete communication between not only us but the drivers..... It was bad. We ended up traveling 7 hours to snorkel for 20 minutes. I must have missed that part in the description that we would only be snorkeling 20 minutes. We were told the drive from Punta Cana to La Romana would be about an hour and 10 minutes, which was fine with us. We left at 7:15am and didn't get to the ferry (the description says catamaran) until after 11:00am. We didn't get to the island until about 12:00. From the ferry, in the same area only a couple hundred feet away, we were boated to a catamaran who then took us to a little spot only a couple hundred feet away from the ferry where we were able to get in the water around 1:00pm. It took forever to get in though, because everyone (probably 50-60 people) had to be fitted for masks and fins. Maybe 10 minutes into the water we were being called back to the catamaran. Once everyone was loaded onto the catamaran again, we then drove back to a little spot in the same area (still only a couple hundred feet away from the ferry in the same cove) where we were then boated to the island which included piling into a tiny boat with about 25 others and being shuttled to the island. This process started at 2:00pm. We didn't get to the island and get food until 2:37pm. For the record, during this entire process, we never met anyone from this tour company. We just went where we were told to go. Anyway, I overheard the main gal saying we were going to meet at about 3:10-3:15pm to be shuttled back to the ferry. We didn't get done eating until just before 3:00pm so we thought it was pointless to put everything on and try to go snorkel again. We actually began leaving the island around 4:00pm - after six boat loads of people back and forth to the ferry we left island around 5 to an unknown/uncommunicated place . We thought we'd be going back to La Romana because that would make sense but instead I had to ask the ferry where we were going and they said Cumayaha (sp?). Google it and it's further away from Punta Cana. Luckily I recognized an earlier drive of ours and he confirmed we were riding with him. We left Cumayaha at 6:00pm. After stopping on the side of the road for the driver to figure out what hotels we were all at, the driver hitting a stop arm, and then getting moved to another van on the side of a busy highway, we finally made it home at 8:00pm. This excursion description is VERY misleading and it was not worth what we paid. On top of that, the company would not give us a refund... Which was par for the course by this time. Unfortunately, we wasted a whole day for 20 minutes of snorkeling. I definitely would not recommend this excursion. Good luck if you do!!!!
