I had a wonderful... - I had a wonderful experience visiting Isla Saona. From start to finish, the trip was very well organized and everything ran smoothly. The staff were professional, friendly, and always showed great respect to everyone in the group, which made the atmosphere welcoming and comfortable. Safety was clearly a priority, and I felt completely at ease throughout the journey. The island itself was stunning, but what truly made the experience memorable was how well everything was managed. Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized excursion!

Day out at sea with the family - This was a fun sailing day. It took pretty much all day and consisted of a catamaran ride to the island with a pit stop to hop in the beautiful blue water for a dip in the water. You could see starfish near this area. Would have been nice if snorkeling was an option at this point. The boat crew did a great job of getting guests to dance and dance music was playing loudly. We spent two hours at the island eating at the buffet and hanging out on the beach. Massages were an option for purchase. We then transferred into smaller speedboats for our return back to the pier.

Nice tour, many participants - The stopover in the blue lagoon is really nice. And the island of Sanoa is simply magnificent. So far a great trip for the money. I would even be picked up at my accommodation and brought back again. However, it goes really mass tourism because the buses are very packed and also the catamaran and the speedboat are full. Later I learned that there is also a VIP tour with fewer participants. You either pay more or come to terms with this. Overall, it was fun!

Nice island, very busy - A very typical Attraction to meet. The island is very crowded, so there are long lines for the buffet and time is short on the island. I recommend you visit Catalina Island. Pro and attentive company, contacted us to coordinate the pickup, so we had no previous contact problems.

Very beautiful beach but... - They looked for us at 7:40 a.m. when they said 7:15 a.m., but when we arrived in Bayahibe we had to wait 30 minutes more. Then another 30 minutes to board the catamaran. We finally arrived at Saône Island around 1:30 p.m. Between serving food and lunch, it was 2:00 p.m., and we could only enjoy the island until 3:30 p.m. Most uncomfortable was that the tour guide, Danny Boy, demanded a tip insistently and even made disparaging comments about it. We felt that a simple comment like “if you liked the Service and wish to tip, it is well received” would have been enough. That attitude ruined the experience a bit. Very long journey to enjoy 1:30 on the beach.

Not recommended - 12 hours journey in total, only 90 minutes on the island and the bad food. Everything they want to sell you as something that can be lost but a beach like any other.

I want my refund - We had an incredible time during our trip, but the journey home took an unexpected turn. As we were getting ready to leave, it became clear that they had overbooked the boats, and I really didn’t want to split my family of four into two groups. So, I decided to go with the flow. My son and I hopped into one boat, and we zipped back quickly. Meanwhile, my wife and our other two kids were in a different boat, which ended up breaking down! I waited at Bayahibe for over an hour, watching group after group disembark, but my heart sank as I didn’t see my family among them. After an hour of uncertainty, I finally learned that their boat had indeed broken down, and we would have to wait. My mind raced with worry, and with so little information coming in, I reached out to Viator for a refund, hoping to alleviate some of the frustration. After three days of waiting, I was finally refunded, but the experience left a bitter taste. It was tough going through those two hours of uncertainty and anxiety. In the end, I urge anyone to think twice before risking such a split — this was my family’s first and last time booking with Viator.
