La Paz to Uyuni

La Paz - The journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in La Paz, scheduled one hour before the bus departure. You will then embark on a night bus to Uyuni, featuring reclining seats, an onboard bathroom, English-speaking assistance, and a light dinner.

Uyuni to San Juan

Uyuni - After a 10-hour bus ride, you will be taken to the offices where a delightful breakfast awaits before starting your tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats and the vibrant lagoons. The first stop is the “train cemetery,” where you can explore old, weathered trains.

Isla Incahuasi - The tour continues to the “Salar de Uyuni” via Colchani, where you can witness the traditional processing of edible salt. The journey proceeds to the salt mounds and the center of the Salar, where you will visit Isla Incahuasi, a natural formation of volcanic rock and towering cacti.

Uyuni Salt Flat - The adventure then takes you to the opposite side of the Salar, heading to San Juan, a town on the Salar’s edge, where you will spend the night in a cozy private room and savor a delicious local dinner.

San Juan to Laguna Colorada

Laguna Hedionda - After a hearty breakfast, your guide will lead you southwest to explore the Cañapa, Stink, Chiarkota, Honda, and Ramadita lagoons. Here, you can observe numerous flamingos and other birds, such as Andean Geese and seagulls, amidst the stunning backdrop of snow-capped volcanoes.

Laguna Colorada - The tour proceeds to “Laguna Colorada,” where you will stay overnight in a comfortable private room. After a delightful local dinner, enjoy stargazing, as this location is renowned for its clear skies.

Lagoons to Uyuni and La Paz

Geiser Sol de la Mañana - On the fourth day, rise early to visit the geysers known as “Morning Sun,” where you can witness the first light of day in this scenic area with active volcanoes emitting fumaroles and mild volcanic activity.

Aguas Termales de Polques - The journey continues over the highest point of the road, approximately 5,000 meters above sea level, with a visit to Laguna Colorada, the “stone tree,” and along the high plateau road to reach the Polques hot springs, where you can enjoy a warm bath.

Laguna Verde - Cross the Dali desert to reach the green lagoon at the base of the Licancabur Volcano. The tour then returns to Uyuni, where you can observe Andean flora and fauna before arriving in Uyuni at 5:00 PM. After a brief rest, you will board your bus back to La Paz.

La Paz - Arriving in La Paz around 6:00 AM, a driver will be ready to pick you up and take you to your hotel.
