Lake Titicaca - The Totora Rafts
This boat measures 3 to 4 meters in length and, as its name implies, is crafted from “Totora,” an aquatic plant found in ponds. To navigate this delicate pre-Inca vessel, one must do so while riding or kneeling; as it crosses the waves, it makes slight jumps, akin to a horse’s leap.

Esta embarcación de 3 a 4 metros de largo y como su nombre lo dice está confeccionada de “Totora”, planta acuática que crece en los estanques. Para poder guiar esta frágil embarcación pre-inca hay que hacerlo montado o arrodillado; al cruzar las olas da ligeros saltos, similar al salto de los potros.
