Our experienced and certified Captains and Guides will make sure you have a lifetime experience. Live this unbelievable experience with us and scratch it off your bucket list!
There are 4 turns to get into the Whale Shark area each day and there’s a limited number of boats that go in depending on how many Whale Sharks are in the area. The turns are assigned via WhatsApp and they are given in the order in which they receive the messages. We always aim for the second turn ( 9 AM) but there are days that we don’t get it, so we have to ask for a chance in the 3rd or 4th turn. We cannot guarantee that we will get a turn or which turn we will get until after the turns are assigned each day. We will get in contact with you if we don’t get the desired turn (9 am) to let you know the turn we got assigned.

*The location is on the corner of Topete and Legaspi street, go through the blue gate with the big "Marina de La Paz" sign and we will be waiting for you at the "Tour Meeting Point" area, just a few steps ahead by the boat ramp.

Unforgettable experience! 100% recommended ★★★★ - This tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide Christian and our captain Javier were amazing, always friendly and taking the time to explain everything. Espiritu Santo is a magical place, and being able to connect with nature in this way was undoubtedly the best thing about our trip to La Paz.
The most beautiful thing about the tour was swimming with the sea lions, a truly magical experience. Also, snorkeling and watching the marine life was spectacular. Lunch was delicious... the best tuna tuna!
We would definitely book a tour with them again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Must do! - We had a great time, we got so close to the sea lions! Our lunch at the beach was delicious. Marcos and Cristian were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, they made this fantastic experience even better. We felt like the time we had in each place was perfect. We would definitely recommend going with Tuna Tuna on your next adventure

Top notch experience - We were really impressed with this outfit! The weather had been really windy and they handled the updates and rescheduling professionally. On the tour our guide Stephany and the captain Juan Carlos went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience and Stephany was incredibly knowledgable. We also really appreciated their respect for the environment and wild life. The weather was cooler so a light jacket and long sleeve shirt were needed. Swimming with the whale sharks and snorkeling with sea lions was an unforgettable experience.

Amazing & very active experience! - One of the coolest experiences I've ever had in my life! We swam with a 13ft and 18ft whale shark! Tuna Tuna had friendly staff who respected the wildlife. They were really accommodating to young kids that were on our boat, however if you are not a strong swimmer or have young kids, I'd maybe reconsider. My husband and I joked that this is "extreme snorkeling". You sit on the edge of the boat while it's moving and jump in when they yell "jump" in order to get close to the shark then you speed swim to be alongside the shark. Once you are at the front of the shark, you can get in the "vortex" where it's easy to stick with the shark. It's a lot of swimming and definitely a workout so keep in mind before booking. It's such a cool experience and I think this tour group did a great job having us experience these beautiful creatures while being respectful!

Bucket list item - check! - Christian was an exceptional guide - he spoke great English and Spanish, he was very informative, and made sure everyone had a great experience viewing and swimming with a whale shark. Probably 30' long. Just beautiful.

A great crew to see the Whale Sharks - We went with Tuna Tuna to see the Whale Sharks near La Paz. Although the weather and water conditions weren't perfect, Stephanie (the guide) and Marco (the captain) we're great. Stephanie provided a great explanation of the Whale Sharks and how to safely and respectfully swim with them, and Marco was able to find a Whale Shark when other boats we're not. Then Stephanie stayed with the Whale Shark to guide us through multiple jumps from the boat. I definitely would use Tuna Tuna again!

Bucket list trip of a lifetime - The Tour organizers were really good communicators. They got in touch with us via WhatsApp ahead of time and told us about the weather, parking, Dramamine, and timeline. The guide and boat captain were nice guys, knowledgeable, and safe. They took videos and pictures of us and the whale sharks and sent them to us for free afterward. The boat group size was small at 7, making it a very personal experience. Overall had a great time, can highly recommend.

Highly recommend for Whale Shark snorkeling - Amazing tour! Everything was perfectly planned and worked out. The Whale Sharks were awesome, and we just had a blast snorkelling with them. Here is important information in case you find cheaper tours, the authorities only allow 5 people with the guide in the water at once. Therefore, your snorkelling time matters a lot on how many people are on the boat. Tuna Tuna Tours only takes up to 10 people on the boat which gives you a lot of time in the water. Cheaper tours do take more people on the boat which leads to less time in the water....

Very Professional Response... - We made a reservation within 72 hours of our tour, and we were not eligible for a refund, but within minutes of making our reservation, we were informed by another naturalist that the weather was going to be rough and the seas quite choppy, so we should not go. When I contacted this tour company to explain, they immediately offered to refund my payment. They did not have to do so, technically, but did so immediately. I just wanted to add a comment that I felt that this was very honorable and professional on their part. It was much appreciated and says much about the kind of organization this tour company is. - Thank you Juan Carlos.

Swim Swim Swim - Captain and crew were terrific! Boat was clean and comfortable. The Whale Sharks were not very accomodating but we did have one siting. I will say you need to be a good swimmer to get the most out of this excursion. I would totally recommend Tuna Tuna.
