Great Experience - It was a fun and educational experience. Trying different preparations of seafood that we had never experienced. Our guide was very pleasant and helpful explaining the dishes and what was used in the preparation. A beautiful day for a walk around the city sampling the fresh seafood. Our only suggestion would be to not eat too much before the tour. So glad we did this tour, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Funny and yummy and educational - We had a thoroughly fantastic time with our guide Cinthya. All the food was scrumptious. We really enjoyed learning about the local street food dining habits - what was eaten when and why - we came away with the feeling we learned a lot about La Paz. One of the best food tours we have been on.

Our first food tour in La Paz—was great! - Cinthia did a very good job explaining food, culture and context of the the food we ate and the people here in La Paz. She explained each food well and why we were sampling it. She had a nice easygoing nature that fit well with our group.

A great time with a lot of food and a lot of walking - Such incredible food. But the real delight was our guide. After this tour experience I am changing my name to Cinthia. Maybe even my religion. I am a Cithian now.

Local Seafood and Local Culture - This tour is the perfect option for visitors who are not only interested in sampling the delicious local seafood but who are also seeking insight into the region’s history, culture and customs. Our guide, Pablo, was the perfect individual for the task. He spent his youth in La Paz but has lived elsewhere in Mexico and has studied in the U.S. and brings a valuable perspective to his job. With a degree in microbiology Pablo unique understanding of his people, their culture and their food. Our food walk was about two kilometers long and Pablo pointed out and provided commentary on historical buildings and sites. We were particularly impressed by by municipal efforts to beautify buildings though various wall murals. Our route took us far from the regular tourist attractions and through neighborhoods to food establishments solely frequented by locals. These were food stands or modest shops which belie the quality and freshness of the food served. The ceviche we sampled was unparalleled in freshness and flavor. The aquachilli with shrimp and tuna sashimi would be the envy of a Japanese chef. The local chocolate clams (shell color not taste) were a tasty and unexpected treat. We topped off our culinary journey with sinful churros from a street vendor. At the end of our tour we were a bit tired but thoroughly satisfied with the experience. Pablo was an interesting and passionate tour guide, the food was exceptional and the tour and commentary were instructive and eye opening. I would unhesitatingly recommend this tour for any visitor interested in escaping the tourist crowds and getting a glimpse of local life.

The Best Way to Experience La Paz! - We loved our seafood tour with Pablo and are still talking about how delicious everything was! This tour takes you off the beaten bath of the tourist areas of the city and into small, family-run establishments that take pride in their food and love sharing their creations. After being stuffed from all the delicious seafood, we ended at our day at a beautiful cacao cafe and it really was the perfect end to a fabulous tour. We also learned about some of the history of La Paz, which was wonderful. This tour is a must and was time well-spent!

La Paz has amazing cuisine. This tour will help you discover it! - What a great tour. I was lucky as it was a small group (ok, me) and so I could ask all kinds of questions about the cuisine and the restaurants we visited. Each place offered distinctive food I would never have found on my own. This is what a food tour should be!

A perfect introduction to La Paz - I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Geo did a great job of explaining the historical background of baja cuisine while we walked the neighborhood and tasted some amazing street food. The stop in the market for smoothies was really fun and Geo also explained some of the beautiful murals. It was a perfect introduction to La Paz.
