Snorkeling Safari of a lifetime - Our snorkeling safari led us to the bay of Muertos. We saw a blue whale closely surface several times. We swam with sea lions and schools of fish. Thousands. We were surrounded by manta rays and watched them swim all around us. We watched them from the boat fly through the air. Our expert captain always seemed to be one step ahead of the marine life. Our guide was excellent. We always felt safe and comfortable. What an adventure! I strongly recommend The Hook Adventures. Evan & the crew left us with several memories to last a lifetime.

Wildlife snorkeling tour - Karly was our guide. She was so informative and knowledgeable. The experience was better than we could have imagined. The amount of wildlife we saw and experienced while snorkeling was incredible. I highly recommended this company. Braylon was our boat captain and he is the best!

Sea safari of my dreams! - Wow! Amazing experience! Swam with sea lions but the highlight was the coral snorkeling! Amazing spots! Saw an octopus, manta ray, eel, huuuge lobster and all the usual suspects of beautiful fish while smorkeling prestine waters. Super interactive hosts! Lunch of cerviche and sandwiches on a deserted beach! Felt like the sea was only ours. We went to spots where we saw no other tour boats. Evan and Memo were so great. We left a hair clip and water bottle on the boat; when I reached out they had found them and they were waiting at The Hook the next day for us to pick up. We were so well taken care of from start to finish! Can’t give higher praises! I would go again tomorrow if I could.

Best experience in Baja! - We had an amazing day with Evan and his crew. Our guide was so knowledgeable and she had the sweetest personality. We saw so many ocean creatures! Grey whales, humpbacks, sea lions (our favorite!) and soooo many rays! The beach we parked at for lunch was one of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever been to. Can’t recommend the hook and this tour enough!

Great day on the water! - A great day for me, my 30 something daughters their partners and a close family friend. Can’t say enough…20 to 30 yards away humpback whales w/ calves, close encounters w manta rays, several schools of dolphins right alongside our boat and of course the ultimate swim with sea lions. Carlita, our guide was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable regarding sea life, birds, blue-footed boobies AND MORE!

Such a nice trip ! Amazing ceviche !!! Nice crew! - In winter take a good waterproof jacket . A wetsuits is recommended. The team are so nice, patience and welcoming. We arrived like an hour late and they called us. The location was confusing . It is exactly in the middle of the center of town so don’t go Pemex by mistake.

This was a fun excursion... - This was a fun excursion to see the wildlife near La Paz. We even had a short stop to see Balandra Beach. I especially liked that we had free time on the island.

Long boat ride - This was a good tour, however I think most of the tour companies offer the same thing at this price point. You will be on the boat for most of the trip. A little under two hours to get to the sea lions. The beach that you stop at for lunch is pretty crowded and you have to stay where your group is located in front of your boat. No real wandering around on the beach. There were probably 20 boats at the beach at the same time. The ceviche was nice and there was enough for everyone. Probably 20 in our group. You will stop at Balandra on the way back for about 10 minutes to take pics by the mushroom rock. For me, the saving grace of this tour was seeing some humpback whales on the way back. Take the tour company’s advice and dress warm! Very windy and cool while going up the coast.

Ok tour for the money - Ok tour for the money. We were supposed to leave at 10:30 AM but didn't actually get underway until closer to 11:30AM. Description said no more than 12 people on the tour, but there were about 24 of us. Seating in the boat is bottom cushioned bench seats around the edges and sitting side by side facing inward, not uncomfortable but definitely no room to spread out and it can be a bit of a pain to turn to take pictures on your side or stand to take pictures on the far side. There is a sun shade and a small bathroom. There is well over an hour of cruising each way. Seas were pretty calm, but the spray from the boat gets you soaking wet if you sit closer to the stern / engine and there isn't really a way to escape it; you can get pretty cold between that and the wind. Seas were calm and the ride wasn't very rough, generally you have to wear a life jacket (provided) while underway. FYI, there are speakers by the captain's chair that they let a passenger connect to bluetooth and run their own playlist - it gets very loud if you are close to them and hopefully you like the music (was pretty much a club mix the whole way for us). There was a captain and two crew who were professional and helpful. The coastlines are pretty, and there are a few stops along the way to see beaches, birds, and sea lions. You can swim in deep water with the sea lions at one point (life jackets and mask / snorkel required, this is guided and you get about 20 mins in the water with them, they get fairly close but not enough to touch generally, and the water is not warm which makes for a chilly post swim boat ride). Lunch was around mid afternoon, and was fine. Drinks are provided, and you can bring your own beer which they will put in an ice chest. The beaches are fantastic. There is no hiking whatsoever, except along the beach which was a bit of a letdown as you get about 1.5hrs at one stop for lunch - the beach is nice but crowded and not huge. Overall it was a lot of riding in the boat with a lot of people and you can get wet / cold while cruising, but the stops were nice. The sea lion swim adds variety but also adds a lot of cruising time (it's the northernmost part of the cruise).

Never book this tour. Very misleading and disappointing. - Very disappointing in this tour. It took o er 2 hours high speed boat to get to island ( that was never mentioned ). The guide barely spoke English and did not point out any sights. We did see the sea lions for 5 minutes, no snorkeling, then left. They took us to a very small beach where 21 tour boats were lined up, we had to stay buy our boat on the beach, we're not even allowed to explore. The beach was not enjoyable as it was packed with other tours. The lunch was very basic. Back on the boat, and the boat broke down, waited on boat for half hour until it was fixed. Then 2chour high speed back to La Paz. So we spent 4.5 hours travelling high speed on boat for 1.5 hours on a crapoy beach. I would never recommend this tour. The description is very misleading. Also it said maximum 12 per boat and they crammed it with 20 people. Honestly I spent q59 dollars and what a waste of money.
