Arrival at Finca Astronomica

Nestled high above Cartagena, Finca Astronomica is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable night under the stars. As we arrived, the warm welcome from the family who runs the place set the tone for the evening. Their passion for astronomy was infectious, and their ability to communicate in English, Spanish, and Polish made everyone feel at home. The setting was idyllic, with the finca’s eco-friendly design blending seamlessly into the natural landscape.

Our accommodations for the night were in a comfortable pod, a perfect balance between camping and comfort. As someone who usually shies away from traditional camping, I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities. The pod was cozy, and the absence of mosquitoes was a welcome relief. The clean and well-equipped flushing toilet was a testament to the finca’s commitment to providing a sustainable yet comfortable experience.

As we gathered around the campfire to toast marshmallows, the sense of community and camaraderie was palpable.
