What an amazing tour! It... - What an amazing tour! It was a full day of hiking so be prepared but it is worth it! We had 3 kids ages 5, 10, and 11 and the guide was amazing with them! We started our day at Mistico bridges and there is no way we would’ve seen 20% of the animals without Isaac, our guide. He would find something and set up his scope and show us. He was so accommodating to our kids and answered every question a kid could have. We then went to La Fortuna waterfall, which was gorgeous. Then to their HQ for lunch that was prepared by the family there. It was SO good! After lunch, and coffee, we went to the volcano trails. There we hiked up and learned all about the volcano. Definitely book this tour with this company if you want to do these 3 things. It was such a fun day!

There's an Arenal Tour and then there is a Arenal Tour with Mau - We were very fortunate to be matched up with Mau for this excursion. While I'm sure I would have enjoyed the Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall and the lava flows without Mau, I would have missed so much and had not nearly the memorable experience I did with him.
Mau and Johan were friendly and worked to provide us the best experience possible. We stopped several times along the road when fauna, especially sloths, were found, so we could get a better view. Mau consistently broke out his trusty monocular to allow us to get incredible views. And he would even take pictures on his phone through the monocular and sent them to us at the end of the trip.
The Hanging Bridge excursion needs to be done with a guide, specifically a guide with the knowledge and dedication of Mau. Mau was able to point out several animals that I would have never seen without pointing them out. Several passerby stopped to hear him speak and get information during the trail. At each of our stops and en route to our next spot, Mau would tell us all about his country and the land as well as answer any questions we had.
Also included with this excursion is a lunch stop at essentially a "soda" so you can try a typical casado (plate with meat or fish, rice and beans, piccadillo, plaintain and tortilla) which was one of the better meals we had.
Do yourself a favor and book Mau or at least Rainforest Explorers to get the most out of your tour experience

Excellent All Day Tour! - What a wonderful experience! Our guide, Isaac, and driver, Edgardo, were both very professional and so knowledgeable. Isaac’s ability to spot wildlife was incredible! We saw so much more than we could have seen without his expertise. The lunch provided was an experience in itself! The traditional Costa Rican cuisine and was delicious. Even our hard to please teenagers were impressed. I highly recommend Rainforest Explorers!

Our Best Day in Costa Rica - We thoroughly enjoyed our combination tour of hanging bridges, Aernal Volcano and the waterfall. Edgar and Francisco were incredible. It was very clear they wanted us to have the best experience. I was a bit worried the tour would be too long for our kids but they were engaged the entire time. The breaks between activities with food recharged everyone’s batteries for the next tour. The pick up was so convenient. This was our favorite day of the trip.

Waterfalls, Lava and Fun - Our day started on time, our guide was Mau and our driver Edgar and what a great team. They were both knowledgable, funny and constantly giving fabulous customer service, stopping the bus when one of them spotted an animal or bird and giving untold knowledge of its habits and routines.
The waterfalls are beautiful and whilst there are numerous steps down and back up are certainly worth the effort, Mau was with us all the time and even looked after our things whilst some went for a dip.
Lunch was included and afterwards we went through the national park forest and saw many different species, finally ending up on the lava flow trail.
Would highly recommend this day out to all ages, at the end of the day Mau sent us all the photos of all the animals, some taken through his telescope at no cost whatever.
THANK YOU MAU &EDGAR😀

Excellent trip - It was an excellent experience.
Our guide Isaac is very knowledgeable about geography, animals, and vegetation. He patiently explained and showed us around. There were a few times travelers in other groups stopped listening to Isaac and thank him.

Fantastic Day! - This all day tour was fantastic! Our guide, Mao and driver Frank were incredible. Mao was a wonderful, knowledgeable, naturalist who was an incredible guide. Both Frank and Mao went out of their way to make sure we saw sloths, snakes, monkeys, toucans as well as educate us about Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity and sustainability. Maos passion and extensive knowledge about Cista Ricas ecology is not to be matched! Thank you for a fun, educational, exciting day! We can not say enough about this tour with Mao and Frank.

Hiking, waterfall, volcano...oh my - Very good. The guide gave us very good information. We had a personal Costa Rican lunch, which was tasty. They set out a board with fruit which attracted a toucan and other birds. Encouraged us when we had some difficulty climbing down volcano.
