Join us for a delightful short hike through the secondary rainforest to try and spot them. The trail is just 2 km (1.25 miles) and is perfect for the whole family. It’s quite common to see these little mammals nestled among the foliage. However, our expert guides know all their secrets and tricks! We’ll also discover fascinating facts about some of the amazing plants we encounter along the way.
Thanks to its location and diverse flora, this trail is also a haven for birdwatchers. To enhance a morning or afternoon filled with wildlife, we’ll have the opportunity to observe numerous bird species in the area. Highly recommended for sloth and bird enthusiasts!

Amazing. - Our guide was Hugo, biologist and very knowledgeable. We saw lazy snake birds on a tour that our young daughters could participate in. We loved 10/10

Highly recommend - David was so informative and knowledgeable! We did see the sloths right away and we saw 2 more. Both 2 toed and 3 toed. Birds, frogs, etc. My husband and I were very satisfied- the only problem was that the time of the meeting was completely wrong. Thankfully we were only ones on the group tour so it was not an issue. My meeting time was an hour later than his. But aside from that - all went well.

Wonderful experience - Jose is a very talented and knowledgeable guide. He made this tour everything we wanted. This slower paced walk through the rainforest was wonderful for my husband who has a mobility issue.

This is such a great trail! - We had a wonderful experience on this excursion. The owner of the trail was onsite and took the time to mark so many sloths and other animals he had spotted on the trail that day. We saw at least 8 sloths as well as several different types of birds and other animals. We really felt that the owner and our guide (Bernardo) went out of their way to make sure we didn’t miss a single thing. The trail was well maintained and super peaceful. It wasn’t crowded and wasn’t too touristy. I highly recommend this tour and this particular trail. We had a fantastic experience.

Sloths and birds!OH my! - It was amazing! We saw sloths birds frogs and bats! It was a private tour and well worth it! Guide was friendly and knowledgeable!

Fantastic Sloth Sightings - This is a great way to see sloths, learn about their environment and be educated in other animals found in the rainforest while walking on a level trail. Melanie was a great guide, informative and patient.

Amazing sloth and bird tour! - This was an incredible tour.Jason was very knowledgeable about the area and spotted many sloths for us. He was extremely patient and kept finding better spots with his telescope for us to get clearer views of the sloths, and he took camera-quality photos with a phone through the telescope for us (see our attached photos). Would highly recommend. The driver Edson was also very friendly and safe.

FANTASTIC TOUR!! LOTS OF SLOTHS AND BEAUTIFUL BIRDS !! - After a late night flight to San Jose and early morning drive to La Fortuna, the Sloths and Birds Sightseeing Tour was the perfect way to start our Costa Rica vacation! The tour was fantastic yet relaxing, and we saw 5 sloths and lots of birds, including Toucans (and bats!) Our guide, Caesar, was friendly, knowledgeable and expert at spotting and identifying birds. He took no more than 2-3 seconds to set up his telescopic lens and helped to line-up our phones to the lens so that we could take expert pics ourselves. The tour ended at a farm with delicious fresh fruits and home-made, traditional snacks. We highly recommend!!

Sloths!!! - Saw 5 sloths and toucan. Guide was great at finding them. Pretty hike. Clean park. Bathrooms at entrance. Lots of beautiful plants as well

Amazing sloth tour! - Amazing sloth tour! Jason was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He knew where and how to spot all of the sloths and animals, allowing us to see four sloths total! Definitely recommend.
