• Lake Arenal - This boat excursion will guide you through the bays and peninsulas of Lake Arenal. Revel in the coastlines adorned with lush vegetation and wildlife, set against the backdrop of blue mountains, volcanoes, and islands. Throughout the journey, the guide will provide fascinating insights into the history of the lake, the volcano, and the area’s tourist development. Lake Arenal is located in the northern highlands of Costa Rica and is the country’s largest lake, covering 85 square kilometers. Its depth ranges from 30 to 60 meters depending on the season. The town of Arenal was moved to higher ground when the lake was expanded in 1979.
• Arenal Volcano - Enjoy a walk along easily accessible trails. Observation towers offer stunning 360° views for photography of the lake and the volcano. The area is perfect for bird watching, where you can spot toucans, motmots, trogons, and oropendolas. You might also hear or see howler monkeys, spider monkeys, or capuchin monkeys, along with many other species. The trail is approximately 2 miles long, with no steps and minimal incline, making it suitable for wheelchairs and those with physical limitations. At the end of the walk, transportation will be ready to take you back to your hotel.
