- La Fortuna - You day will begin when you are picked up from your hotel and driven about 20 minutes to Mistico Hanging Bridges, a beautiful hanging bridges park with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Arenal Volcano. You’ll walk across several bridges that hang from canyon wall to canyon wall, allowing you to see wildlife from above the tree top canopy. After your hike, youu2019ll hop back into the vans and head to the Pure Trek headquarters to have a delicious, Costa Rican style lunch before heading out to the canyon. Enjoy waterfall rappelling, rock climbing, and the Monkey drop rappel (you will get wet!). After the canyoning tour we will take you back to our offices to take a look at the photos of your adventure and have some delicious Costa Rican coffee.

On this adventure, participants will be picked up from their hotel and transported to the stunning hanging bridges park, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Arenal Volcano. Accompanied by a professional nature guide, they will traverse several bridges suspended from canyon wall to canyon wall, providing a unique perspective…
On this adventure, participants will be picked up from their hotel and transported to the stunning hanging bridges park, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Arenal Volcano. Accompanied by a professional nature guide, they will traverse several bridges suspended from canyon wall to canyon wall, providing a unique perspective of wildlife from above the treetop canopy. The guide, equipped with a spotting scope and binoculars, will highlight wildlife and share insights about the natural history. Following this, participants will proceed to the Pure Trek headquarters for a delicious Costa Rican-style lunch and meet their canyoning guides. These guides will then lead them to the Pure Trek canyon for thrilling waterfall rappelling, climbing, hiking, and other exciting activities in the extraordinary rainforest canyon. Get ready for fun and to get wet!

Fun day canyoning with Pure Trek - We signed up for the hanging bridges and canyoning tour. We were there in December, 2025. My, my husband and twin 14 year-old boys. We loved the canyoning part of the tour (which included lunch at their main site). We would definitely recommend it. The hanging bridges part of the tour was with another company (I forget the name). The tour was amazing but it wasn't Pure Trek. My only complaint is that Pure Trek didn't tell me we were going with another company which created some confusion. It all worked out and we had a great day overall.

Waterfall Rappelling with PureTrek is the Best! - We had a great day doing the combo tour of Hanging Bridges and waterfall rappelling with PureTrek! Our first stop in the morning was at the Hanging Bridges with our guide, Mauricio. It was a private tour with just our family of 4...it was nice not to be herded around in a large group. Mauricio had his scope at the ready and we were able to see a viper, tarantula, and some birds. The bridges were fun and offered an incredible view of the landscape and the volcano, although it was cloudy at the top.
After, we went to the PureTrek headquarters for a nice lunch, which was typical Costa Rican casado. We especially liked the coffee!
The highlight of the day was the waterfall rappelling! It was definitely a bit scary at first, but the PureTrek team is incredible. The first rappel is the longest, and I was the first in the group to go. I was very nervous, but Diego (?) was awesome. He helped calm my nerves and as soon as I stepped off the ledge, I was totally fine and absolutely LOVED every minute. When we got through all the drops, we wished there were more! We felt completely safe with the PureTrek team. They were all super friendly and lots of fun! Don't hesitate to book this tour with PureTrek!

Costa Rica adventures - Our family had the most incredible experience thanks to Delvis from Pure Trek! From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and truly dedicated to making our excursions unforgettable. Delvis took the time to understand our interests and crafted an itinerary that was perfect for all of us, balancing adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion.
The bookings were seamless, and every detail was thoughtfully planned. Each activity exceeded our expectations, knowledgeable guides, or fun-filled adventures that brought our family closer together. The highlights were rainforest falls, waterfall rappel , hanging bridges, and white water rafting.
What impressed us the most was the attention to detail and the genuine care from the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and their passion for creating memorable experiences truly shone through.
We can’t recommend Delvis from Pure Trek, highly enough! If you’re looking for a company that will help you create lifelong memories, this is it. We’ll definitely be booking with them again for our next family adventure!

Adventure at its best - This experience was fabulous. I would highly recommend anyone who visits Costa Rica to check this adventure out. It's truly for those who love fun and adventure. The tour guides, photographers and lunch was beyond exceptional. A must do when visiting. I will be back.

Canyoning Total Fun! - We actually did these tour sepertaely. Canyoning was off the charts fun! Never canyoned before. The process from start to finish is organized and seamless. My three boys, 15, 12, and 10 loved our experience. I am scared of heights and each instructor was patient and kind in helping me feel comfortable. Highly recommend, actually a must!

Recommended. - Everything was very father we liked a lot, the guides all the time were on the lookout, in our case we traveled with our young son of 7 years and they made him feel safe, I think the only comment I could have would be that we not send the link of all the photos of the other tourists of the day it would be great if each one had the photo league to download the family. But overall we recommend it 100%.

Must do! - We had a great time from start to finish and felt perfectly safe the whole time. The hanging bridges were fun seeing all of the wildlife.
The crew is very lively and help you to feel relaxed. It rained when we did the canyoning, but it was a warm rain and we were wet anyway. I wish I had warn water shoes or hiking sandals instead for the canyoning.

Outstanding day! Adrenalin rush for sure! - Xander was so great on the Hanging Bridges tour. He took and shared so many great pics! And had cold cervezas for us when we got back! We really enjoyed the park. Much better than we even anticipated.
The canyoning was awesome, but I’m not going to lie, I was beginning to have 2nd thoughts before that first waterfall! LOL! It was so far down! These guys were awesome, so patient with us. Their safety protocols were top notch and I knew I was in good hands. The guys were all so awesome! You can tell they really love their job.
We had lunch in between the tours and honestly it was better than any of the meals at our all inclusive resort! :). There was also delicious Costa Rican coffee when we got back!

Great wild adventures with pure trek - Great experience, lunch was tasty but could have given a bit more as I know the other company my friends went with had a buffet style lunch.
On a really positive note - the staff were amazing!! Another tour company called Jacamar tours took me for the hanging bridges tour and I must say… Erica the guide at the company was excellent. So knowledgable and helpful with everything. Always helped with taking pics too and where to take them. Cannot thank her enough!! Also her colleague Hero/Hiro, was excellent too. Never did canyoning before, but totally going to do it again, if I get the opportunity. Thank you pure trek for a wonderful experience!
