So many frogs - David was a fantastic guide! We learned so much about the nocturnal wildlife and we saw a ton of frogs and some bonus snakes! Not sure how he spotted some of those tiny frogs!

Reptiles aplenty - Of the 3 different night walks we did in Costa Rica, this was the best by far. There were other tour groups around us, but it never felt overly crowded. The walk is done in a pretty compact area, and goes mainly around different ponds. We had a great tour guide who managed to find about every type of frog possible. We saw glass frogs, the blue jeans frogs, mating red-eyed frogs, and others. Oh and even a baby eyelash viper and a baby sloth. They were also very nice to include transportation for us, even though our hotel was on a very difficult road a few kilometers outside of town.

Incredible frog/nature tour - This tour was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip! Luis, our guide, was great at spotting frogs and other interesting flora and fauna along the way, including a possum. He shared lots of interesting information, answered all of our questions and helped us to take some amazing pictures. We saw many types of frog including several red-eyed tree frogs. Well worth doing (even in the rain, which is good for frog spotting) and highly recommended, thanks again Luis!

Flashlights in hand - With flashlight in hand we saw incredible night life activities of rain forest creatures. Edson was informative and extremely helpful in taking pictures through the scope. It's an event that will last in our memories.

Outstanding experience - This is one of the best places to see frogs because of the ponds you can find in this property. We saw so many beautiful frogs and snakes and other little creatures. . We had an amazing guide (JP) so passionate about his job and very respectfull of nature and wild life. I would surely reconend the night tour here.

Do it - Unique and informative experience. Our guide, Juan, was amazing. He saw so much that we would have walked past on our own. We saw frogs, sleeping birds, spiders, centipedes, crabs, venomous snakes, and even a bullet ant. As we were walking through the jungle in the night a light rain started adding to the rainforest experience. Thee are multiple small groups with guides in the forest at the same time and they help each other find the more rare animals.
We saw two highly poisonous fer-de-lance snakes and a pit viper. All so close that we could have gotten ourselves in serious trouble without a guide. Juan even helped with photographing the animals close up and got much better pictures than we would have on our own. A must do adventure to see how the rainforest really comes alive at night.

Fantastic!! - We loved this adventure! Juan was our guide and he was fantastic! Not only did we see frogs, we also saw a walking palm tree, banana spiders, lichens that were fluorescent, and 3 vipers!! Juan was incredibly patient with everyone. He allowed us as much time as we needed to get our photo! He also is extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the species that we saw.
In previous reviews I saw that folks were upset that they didn’t see as many species as they had hoped to see. My best advice is that if you want a guarantee to see a specific frog, maybe go to an aquarium. This is an eco center and no one has control of what or how many creatures you will see. Juan did an amazing job finding all sorts of amazing plants, insects, arachnids, toads, and frogs.
Also, I want to mention the staff at the lodge. We did not stay there but they were so helpful and accommodating! I would highly recommend this adventure!

Loved this experience! - Would 100% do this walk again! Saul was our guide and it was great! We were very lucky to have seen some great things! Saul was knowledgeable and had a great eye for frogs, bugs, and snakes! Hopefully we get this lucky the next time we visit!

Was okay, wished for a little bit more - We got some amazing red eyed tree frog and see through frog pictures. But other than that, our tour guide pointed out grass hoppers, orb weaving spiders, and toads. Nothing really unique. Our tour tailgated a french tour half the time that was speaking very loudly, so couldnt hear him even if he did speak. But he was limited on talking. Basically walking and pointing out basic stuff then continuing on. I am sure there are snakes there, but our guide never really even looked down while walking... if deadly snakes were very common on that trail, i personally would look down every once in a while and check the sides, but maybe its a different mentality. We really wanted to see dart frogs at night, but our guide didnt even look. Was mainly looking in ponds, and on leaves for everything.

Overpriced tour - You get to watch animals for about two hours. You need to be flexible and go with the flow. It truly depends on luck what types of animals you will be able to see. We thought our kids will enjoy this tour, but it was a huge disappointment for them. The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, but it’s not worth spending $51/ person for a 2 hour tour. It’s definitely overpriced.
