Costa Rica Descents Adventure Company - Pick up at hotel in La Fortuna or at meeting point. The drive to the river put-in is 40 minutes. When we get there, you will get a lifejacket, helmet and a paddle. We will do a safety speech and practice at the river bank, before we take off down the river in a RAFT. Halfway down, we will take a small break and provide some fresh fruits. From there, you will switch into the TUBING and the second part of the river you will do white water tubing.
When we get to the take out, you will go back into the bus and head back to our office and restaurant in La Fortuna. Lunch and coffee will be ready for you, when we fish we will take a small walk up at our organic farm behind the restaurant. We will show you how we grow organic and also do the sugarcane demonstration.
The tour is finish and we drop you back at your hotel.

Loved our experience! - Ronald was THE BEST! We absolutely loved him. Such a great tour that was truly so much fun! And we got to see monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and other wildlife. Highly recommend this tour

Wild but great! - We had a great time with Warner! The water was wild, so tree of us were quick to launch off of the boat, but he dragged us out very quick. Then the game was on!! We listened better and all went fine. Higly reconmend it. And Fernando did a great job and made us laugh all the time. Lunch was great to!

Fun rafting with wildlife sightings - I had lots of fun while rafting. Warner was an amazing guide who provided great instructions and was enthusiastic during the entire trip. He took time to show us lots of animals while we were drifting down the river.

Class III-IV in the Balsa River - This was such a blast. By far the most adrenaline-pumping activity we did in CR but it still felt safe. Obviously rafting is an extreme sport and one that is always going to carry some risk, but I never felt like any of us were in danger. Our guide did a great job of telling us the right commands and getting everybody in the right position in the biggest rapids. Class IV can get gnarly so be prepared to get wet and get tossed around quite a bit, but with these experienced guides you will be safe. They also pointed out tons of wildlife on the raft trip including herons, sloths, and iguanas.
Also the lunch and tour of the farm after the rapids was amazing. They showed us how sugar cane is processed and how many different types of plants are grown. All around just an awesome experience.

We made the right choice to go with Costa Rica Descents! - We had an amazing time white water rafting with our family. Our guide, Orlando, was fantastic—super knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole experience feel safe and exciting. The scenery was beautiful, and we even saw sloths and some huge iguanas along the way, which was a big highlight.
After rafting, we did a short farm tour that included a sugarcane presentation—really interesting and fun for all ages. The food they served was surprisingly delicious and really hit the spot after a day on the river.
Highly recommend this experience, especially if you get Orlando as your guide!

Extraordinarily funny - It was our first time doing fast, it was AMAZING. You feel confident, the team is very prepared and Chamo makes the experience great.
