Afterward, guests will be taken to the beautiful base offices and tropical gardens to enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch, providing energy for the rest of the day’s adventures.
This 100% off-road ATV experience is wet, muddy, and thrilling! Participants will cross streams, ride through the rainforest, and swim in a river, all while enjoying sweeping views of open pastureland and rainforest, under the shadow of the Arenal Volcano. There will be a stop at the Arenal River for a refreshing dip in this rainforest river setting, where fresh tropical fruit and water will be served. The minimum age for a single rider is 15 years (a guide can accompany a child as young as 12 years). Drivers of single ATVs must possess a valid driver’s license.

La Fortuna Waterfall Rappelling Adventure - Really great fun activity in a beautiful forest waterfall surrounding. The team seem very professional and safe and were encouraging for those getting a little cold feet. It feels both exciting and safe which is the perfect combination. The first rappel is stunning and the Monkey Drop and "James Bond" run off on the final ones (both optional) were great. I just wish there could have been a couple more rappels as they were so enjoyable. All very well organised with transport and lockers and the lunch at the end was also delicious.
If you are in La Fortuna and like this kind of activity or want to try for a first time then you should give this a go with Pure Trek.

The best start to the year 💚 - I went with the owner... Enrique, to live a real adventure in the middle of nature. His accompaniment, his presence and even the way he handled the psychological made me feel safe and, even more, able.
It has a team that makes you feel protected at all times. I loved sharing with him, listening to him and connecting deeply with nature. It was a transformative experience.

Incredible Adventure - My girlfriend and I did this tour, and it was top notch adventure. The atv tour was an incredible way to see several parts of the jungle and farm land while having a blast.
I cannot say enough good things about the canyoning team. These guys are professional, funny and all such nice and personable people. A+++. The canyons were gorgeous and despite being generally skittish of heights - these guys let you know they have it under control. They take safety seriously.

Coolest thing we’ve ever done!! 10/10 - Diego at Pure Trek was an incredible guide! He made us feel very safe doing the repelling. I wouldn’t say we felt confident doing the first descent, but we did feel safe and as prepared as we could be, for people who have NEVER repelled except for an indoor rock wall. Our group consisted of a 13 year old all the way up to a 69 year old and we all left saying it was an experience they was unlike any other in our life! We HIGHLY recommend Pure Trek!
Our ATV trip was excellent as well. Outback was a great outfit for the ATV’s. The course we got to ride was gorgeous and Frank was extremely patient and knowledgeable about everything we saw.
We did try to get coffee after our ride and they made us leave before we got our order so we wouldn’t miss our tour at Pure Trek, so don’t waste your time going next door for coffee. It’s free at Pure Trek anyway :)

Totally fun and exciting!! Canyoning rocks!! - This was a mystery trip with mystery adventures planned for me and as soon as I heard about this, I was excited. It definitely did not disappoint! Each drop was different and exciting in its own way. By the time you reached the end, you were ready to do it all again (except for maybe all the climbing/stairs 🤣). You'll be climbing up and down a lot of natural and man-made stairs so I probably wouldn't recommend flip flops, but any other sandal or shoe would be fine. Towels are also provided for afterwards so no need to pack that. They take great photos and you can buy all of them for a reasonable price. The food was also delicious. From pick up to drop off, was about 5 hours. Our lead guide was Jorge and he was fabulous...but everyone was great! Let's go!!!!!!! 😁

Highly recommend-found this excursion after lots of research - Highly recommend both companies that work together to provide this excursion. Safety was top priority and were incredibly helpful. My sister in law had an asthma attack near the very end and they were so kind and helpful.

You better do it... - Weren't sure of the itinerary, but it all worked out. Showed up at there location & a gentleman (sorry lost your name, but desk on the left upon entry) gave us the rundown & WALKED US OUT BACK TO SEE MONKEYS climbing! He showed us a whole family & talked about the birds that were hanging out too. Seriously he was interested & prod of what was behind his office & we were blown away even before the tour. The ATVs were great. It was about 2hrs & my 5 foot wife had a ball riding her own ATV. We ate a bit & joined the next tour (a little awkward transition, but not bad. Just ask for direction from any staff. They were all very nice.) Canyoning was 2000% worth it. Each stage was manned by staff that both helped & made you feel like this was an adventure. In the end, THE highlight of a month in Costa Rica!

Great Fun, Food and Guides - My only complaint is that the experience is too short-- I wanted more waterfalls! The guides, the transportation to/from my hotel, the food (some of the best traditional meals I had) and the rapelling were all excellent. I felt safe the whole time, and while all the guides were good, the main guide was exceptional, conversing with our group on the shuttle bus the whole time. The facilities for changing were also clean and easy to use. The whole experience was well-planned and so much fun! I would add that I was solo on this trip and the guides went out of their way to help me feel included. We even stoppped the bus to view a rare bird, the great potoo.

Fun experience!! - We booked the Canyoning and ATV tour for our party of 7. The ATV portion was first and lasted half a day. Surprisingly, we didn’t get very muddy. Maybe just lucky? :)
The canyoning adventure is quite intense and was a fun challenge. You will feel very accomplished at the end of it! We did it all - even the monkey drop. The process is well-staffed, guiding you through each rappel with care, which eased our nerves and ensured safety. They offer photo services during the tour at reasonable prices, and there are lockers available to store your belongings. After canyoning, we returned to the headquarters for a nice lunch and to review the photos. The facilities there are excellent, complete with changing areas.
We would definitely book another tour with this company.

We had a great adventure with the amazing and professional team of Pure Trek, mainly Mairon and Jorge. - We had a great experience on the Canyoning tour, everything was organized perfectly, and it was amazing to go down for 55 meters and feel safe. We had so much fun and adrenaline that we highly recommend this activity for families. Super professional team
