Arenal Volcano Fun! - Despite less than ideal weather, we had a fantastic time walking thru rain forest and the 1968 lava flow. Our guide, David was the main reason. He did an excellent job retelling the history of Arenal Volcano, as well as teaching us about the ecosystem. Highly recommend. I did not post pictures; because they do not do justice for the beaty of this area.

Well-done tour of a uniquely beautiful place - Arenal is such an impressive place. We spent three nights in La Fortuna and as beautiful as the volcano looks from your hotel or from the town, the only way to fully appreciate it is to see it up close through a hike. Despite the weather challenges posed by hiking in September, our guided hike was very fun, not too physically challenging, and improved by our guide’s knowledge of the area and passion for preserving Arenal’s natural beauty and Costa Rica’s biodiversity. We loved this tour and would use Jacamar again if we come back.

Fantastic experience - The guided Arenal Volcano experience was fantastic! Gustavo was our guide, he was very knowledgeable, interactive, and accommodating. He did an extraordinary job accommodating our multilingual group, narrating and answering each question in both Spanish and English. Everyone felt they were important and included.

Stunning views of Arenal Volcano - We had an incredible experience exploring the rainforest near Arenal Volcano with our guide, Pica. He was extremely knowledgeable, not only about the plants and wildlife, but also about the fascinating history of the Arenal area and the volcano itself. What stood out the most was the extra time he took to share stories, answer our questions, and make sure we truly understood the beauty and history of the region. His passion and depth of knowledge made the tour feel both educational and inspiring. If you’re visiting the Arenal area, I highly recommend requesting Pica as your guide—he made our rainforest adventure unforgettable!

Just the Hotsprings - We had an amazing experience at Paradise Hotsprings. One person in are party had a bad fall the day before and we had to bow out of the hike (next time). The hotsprings are not to be missed. We left feeling redreshes and rejuvenated.

A nice hike - It was raining, so make sure to bring coverage. It did clear up and we were able to partially see the volcano later on. That is going to be a gamble depending on weather. However, the hike up was nice and we got to see a lot of fauna and flora. The hike was not strenuous at all. Would recommend!

too expensive - Far too expensive. Very boring and lots of talking. The hike could have been done without a guide. Everything went according to schedule. No time to enjoy it. Just a heartless tourist trap.
