Vida Pura! - This trip is a MUST do. This company/raft trip did not disappoint! Gabriel was our guide. He had a great sense of humor and was very capable/confident on the river. He kept the trip fun and interesting. Enrique was in the Kayak ahead of us taking pictures and pointing out various wild life for us to see. We stopped for a break and had the best pineapple I have ever had. Enrique's pictures were fabulous and we were able to purchase them at the end for a very reasonable price. A large lunch was provided and it was delicious. I researched companies and decided on Desafio because of their reputation and great reviews. I highly recommend them.

We did the 1/2 day rafting tour on the Sarapiqui River from La Fortuna and it was the highlight of our vacation. - Absolutely the highlight of our vacation and we did a lot of activities. What made it so amazing: our rafting Guide Justin knew the river very well and kept us safe and entertained the whole time. I was apprehensive when I signed up but right away when we got there I was put at ease by his expertise. The River is beautiful and the surroundings incredible. We ended our tour with a delicious lunch and, the cherry on the cake, Justin helped us locate some tamales for our Christmas Eve dinner. His kindness and professionalism made our day. The drive to the site went well. Just make sure you double check the pick up time as they may change the time and location depending on how many pick ups they schedule that day.

Simply Amazing! - It was by far the best thing we’ve done while in Costa Rica. As a family we’ve done other rafting trips but this one just tops it all. Firstly, the staff: David and Gabriel were just amazing and so friendly. From the time we got picked up until we sat down for a late lunch, it was easy and smooth. I did find the ride from La Fortuna to the starting point quite long (around 1 hr) but we did get to see more of CR. If you need to shower after the ride, they have changing rooms and showers available including a towel. You can leave your belongings in the van and it’s super safe. We wore water shoes which were helpful as we did stop at one point during the ride to enjoy some snacks and climb up to a spot to jump into the river. Totally recommend doing this! The ride itself was super cool. The rapids were class 2 and 3 which were good enough for us as they were quite exhilarating. You get to also swim at some points during the ride which I recommend as the water is so refreshing. Our guide, Gabriel was also pointing out wildlife in between the rapids. We saw large iguanas sunning themselves in the trees (didn’t know they can climb so high), herons, egrets, vultures and cormorants.

Adventure is waiting and this amazing company is where it’s at! - If you are looking for adventure this is it!!!! Costa Rica white water rafting is on another level!!!! I can’t say enough about this company and their incredible guides! They explained everything so well and made us feel safe so that we could have the best time! Bonus, the tale amazing photos so you can capture the experience, they serve fresh fruit on the river, and they take you to their wonderful restaurant after you get off the river to enjoy a delicious Costa Rica meal! All of the guides are wonderful, but our guide Cesal was the BEST!

Our Tour Guide was AMAZING!! - I had an amazing experience here!! Our tour guide Joel was amazing and the energy was awesome from him!! I left so safe with him as we did some of the safety precautions in the boat too! My friend fell out the boat and he helped her back in the boat right away. Overall so amazing, 10/10, would definitely go again!!!

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! - Joel, our guide, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny and kept us all safe. He made every effort to show us the wildlife as we were going down the river and gave us plenty of chances to ask questions. It was really a fun and awesome experience.

Adventure Connection From La Fortuna to Guanacaste with Safari Float at Tenorio River - Spouse and I were leaving La Fortuna and returning to Liberia. We hired Desafio Adventure to transport us between cities but add a fun adventure into the journey. Our driver was polite and friendly and we enjoyed the trip and always felt safe. Our driver went out of his way to stop so we could get a special photo of the Volcano, showed us a rice field, and was always pointing out interesting things to see.
Our Tenoria River Float trip with Stiben and Marcos was amazing and a fun break in the long travel. We saw an Osprey carrying freshly caught fish, bats, petroglyphs, crocodiles, monkeys, and our guide even caught fresh fish himself.

Amazing rafting experience on the Sarapiqui River - First time rafting in my life - the guides (GuÃas, Jefry, Miguel, Felix, Randall) gave very simple & clear instructions; they had a great sense of humor and ensured we all had a good time. We felt safe despite doing this for the first time. The water was not too rough but not too calm either- we had the perfect level of adventure. We got to see a sloth, some reptiles and birds along the way. I would love to do it over again. They took many awesome photos for us at a reasonable price which was great as all of us were soaked and didn't have time in the rapids to take pics. They also had clean facilities for us to change into dry clothes after.

Pura Vida in Costa Rica - We used Desafio when we were in Costa Rica 10 years ago and am glad to have used them again on our most recent trip. On our most recent visit we booked a number of activities through Desafio including whitewater rafting, canyoning, hanging bridges, as well as transfers between San Jose, La Fortuna, and Manuel Antonio. I would recommend Desafio to anyone travelling to Costa Rica looking for great experiences delivered by reliable, safe professionals. I can't say enough how glad I was to book our activities and transport as a one-stop shop rather than multiple different vendors.
