The food was great, the scenes were breathtaking, and Ozzi was an amazing guide. - It was so much fun!! The dinner was delicious. The sunset was beautiful and the stargazing experience was truly breathtaking. Ozzi, our guide, was so knowledgeable, passionate, funny, and charismatic and this was very clearly something he truly loved doing. I would absolutely recommend this tour, I’m so glad I went.

Experience of a lifetime! - This was an absolutely amazing tour! Ozzy was very knowledgeable and funny. He really made the trip! He told us many facts and fun facts to and from the excursion. We had a lovely 3 course meal which was very tasty and was nice to sit and chat to people and have a meal together - a sense of community! It was also nice to eat at a small business and locally owned restaurant to be honest.
Seeing the starts like that was amazing for me and my partner - even had us teary! The telescopes were a fantastic addition and seeing the moon through it, my gosh!! Ozzy was pointing out all the constellations using a laser pen which was very informative and cool! Seeing the sunset before we got to the stars up in the mountains was also very beautiful.
We really appreciated Pablo with the van where you could purchase drinks and snacks! The hot chocolate was out of this world!
All in all it was amazing and meant a lot to me and my partner as we have a been on a spiritual journey together and space and the stars means everything to us.
Thank you for giving us an experience of a lifetime!

Stargazing with zero light contamination! - I saw that some of the reviews on here for this experience were pretty bad. I think they are unmerited. The only complaint I have is that this tour is overbooked and when you have 50-60 people stumbling in the darkness in pitch black conditions it's not the ideal situation. Me and my mom managed to spot Saturn on the high powered telescopes. The tour guide / host was pretty knowledgeable about the cosmos's and we also got to spot some far away clusters of stars and constellations. Don't expect to see slow exposure type in details galaxies as basically you can't see those with the naked eye. So keep your expectations in check and realistic. However, you can see WAY more Sky gazing wise than any other area in the world that's not a light pollution free environment. Shooting starts, nebulas, brighter and in detailed stars. Your phone may even be able to capture some of it! The meal experience was also too crowded for my taste but I was accommodated to an area outside the restaurant which helped allot. We also got to experience the sunset at altitude near El Teide national park at petrified lava fields. I would say it's also crowded there with other buses and not as safe when people are randomly climbing over sharp rocks. But over all it was a great experience. I also wanted to note that the actual telescope time could be longer for each guest but due to the crowds it's limited.

Star gazing -a family experience. - Upon the coach arriving at our pick up destination, we were greeted by Ozzie and the Driver. We were seated and ventured our way to Teide.
The stop off for food, in my opinion was fantastic, a proper old style Spanish taverna, the food was traditional but good. The only grumble I have was the attitude of the waitress- probably because she was alone dishing out to 50 + people.
We recommenced after eating on the drive up, Ozzie was pointing out the landscapes, geology and history, he is brilliant at explaining things for all to understand.
The sunset experience was lovely, although there was some cloud from Mother Nature- but it added to the ambience.
The photographer was patient with my Son who has autism, I can’t wait to see the pictures she captured.
My daughter at this point needed the toilet- after all we had recently eaten and hydrated, we were a bit taken back when we asked the driver if we could use the coach toilet- to which he pointed out these isn’t one and we have to go ‘naturale’- we found a spot, however it was not pleasant, there were used tissues everywhere from people who also needed to ‘go’. We then ascended until we reached our star gazing destination, unfortunately Mother Nature blessed the skies with clouds this evening, so star gazing was minimal, however, again OZzie, was using his laser pens to point on the stars we could see, he explained what stars are, the speed of light, the size of the universe and how it is expanding. He has a way of explaining as if he is telling you a story- he really captured mine and my children’s imagination.
This time my Son- he is autistic, needed to go toilet. He thought it was funny, thankfully and did a wee, I was worried he would hold it in and let it go on the coach.
Ozzie had said to everyone to ask him where to go, and that we would be directed to an area on the landscape to free wee, we used our phones flash light to guide our path to a big bush. It stank- tissues everywhere again, and my daughter who decided she needed another toilet stop, needed to crouch (female anatomy) slipped and her hand went in someone else’s urine. There was obviously no where to wash hands. Bear in mind, you eat a large meal, have drinks provided and then given the option to buy more drinks once you arrive at the star gazing stop. (Most are gonna need a wee throughout the 6 hour excursion).
The toilet situation was the only thing that let this down. What if there had been a person with chrons disease or someone with a weak bladder etc- I really think there should be a coach with toilet or portaloo that is managed by the area keepers, because the smell and used tissues were really ugly to the senses and took away the awe of nature in such a beautiful area. I do think it should be made very clear that there are no toilets en route.
My second gripe has nothing to do with the excursion providers, but about the people on the coach. People need to learn some etiquette when leaving the coach, not barging past small kids trying to leave their seat- in the correct order from front to back- very ignorant of people and this wound me up, the same people shoved others out the way to get first look into the telescopes. I do think there are too many people on the trips.
We learned a lot from Ozzie; the coach driver was skilled, we enjoyed it for the majority, but I think if we did it again, we would drive ourselves.
All in all, 4 stars is deserved for the friendliness, knowledge, organisation and patience of the hosts.

Fabulous evening. Recommend it. - The trip was fabulous. Ozzy, our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun and informative.
The image of the sunset over the clouds will stay in my mind for a long time as will the number of stars we saw in the sky over Teide. Absolutely stunning.
People commented about only 4 telescopes for a group of 50 people, but that wasn't really an issue for us as we were just in awe looking up at the sky.
Guide spoke English 90% of the time and many other languages so everyone was catered for. Learned so much on the night, even how to get images of the stars using a moble phone. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Scam - I am Spanish and I do not recommend it under any circumstances the excursion was sold to us by Max a commercial who is on the boardwalk saying that the excursion would be done in several languages and so it was only done in English 98 percent of the excursion. I told the guide and he gave the same thing as it was just me and my partner from Spaniards and he explained absolutely nothing only the regulations.
With my displeasure I call the commercial who washes his hands and gives me the phone of a partner of his who would give me a solution. This lady didn't answer anything, she blocked me... My next step will be to sue and bring it to the attention of the consumer association as I feel scammed and to finish no one cnt you.
However, when we sold the tour everything was very nice and he called us to ask for the money quickly ar bizum places too overwhelmed. So it was a scam don't take this company if you don't speak English they sell it very nice and it's a real scam

Rent a car yourself, not with this company. - We booked the trip without a 3-course dinner and it was said that the tour could take 6h (which we liked for a long time, but anyway).
We were picked up at 4pm on a bus. After some time the guide announced that they were going to stop at a restaurant for the people who had booked dinner. Those who didn't book this had to have a drink or keep busy until they were done! However, we were glad we didn't have to eat anything there because it looked like a dirty roadhouse.
Once back the guide kept stalling to find a good location for the sunset.
We feared to be too late, but could still see a super beautiful sunset, beautiful!
After this we drove higher for the stargazing.
It was very cold, but this was communicated.
The view of the stars was enormously beautiful. The telescopes didn't move anywhere. They were set so you could see Venus. However, all you could see was a vibrating blur dot of light. Nothing at all!
Furthermore, you could have photos taken by professionals, of course for an extra fee...
The guide pulled out the viewing again for a long time. Because of the cold we put ourselves in the bus where we waited for a long time.
The ride back was quite rough (bumps, speed, often brusque braking) causing several passengers to throw up.
Finally we were dropped at 23:00 near our hotel.
A 7-hour excursion that could have happened at 3 to 4 o'clock.
The sunset and stars are definitely worth it, but not with company 'Tenerife_Stars'. Just rent a car yourself and do it at your own pace. Those telescopes are worth nothing anyway.
