Lovely Tea Ceremony - Six of us thoroughly enjoyed our tea ceremony. All staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We were assisted with our kimonos and with every step of the ceremony. And our older group appreciated the chairs. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Very enjoyable and informative tea ceremony - While it is not private, it is definitely intimate. Besides us there was only one other traveler and not much additional room. The tea master and his assistant were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Glad we did this. Kimono rental was an extra 1000 Yen but definitely worth it

This was a lovely and... - This was a lovely and informative experience. We really enjoyed learning about the history and meaning behind the tea ceremony and actively participating in the process. We also liked that we had the option to add on a simple kimono rental to feel fully immersed in the experience. We were even able to use what we learned when we were invited to participate in a tea ceremony later in our travels!

Great experience - Authentic and soothing experience in a beautiful area of Kyoto. You immerse yourself in Japanese culture and learn more about the tea ceremony. Too bad that some participants misbehaved and inconvenienced others. Come only if you are respectful and open-minded!

Traditional tea ceremony - My husband and I had a lovely time learning about Matcha and experiencing a traditional tea ceremony with a Tea Master. I especially wanted to learn how to make Matcha and to understand why it is so special (which I did). It was also nice to be able to buy Matcha that was of high quality right in the shop. I was not disappointed and would highly recommend this experience.

Nice experience - Arrive promptly . We were kept waiting by one group which was annoying and seen as disrespectful to the tea master . Fascinating ceremony .
