• Tenryuji Temple - As the head temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, Tenryuji Temple stands as a prominent Zen temple in Arashiyama, Kyoto, renowned for its stunning garden and ceiling artwork. It was designated a World Heritage Site in 1994, alongside Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkakuji Temple, Toji Temple, and Nijo Castle, attracting visitors from both Japan and around the globe. The temple’s Sogen-ike Garden is world-famous, featuring a pond garden centered around Sogen Pond, and it incorporates the scenic landscapes of Arashiyama and Kameyama in the background.

The garden, established approximately 700 years ago by the temple’s founder, Muso Kokushi, still maintains its original design.
