Experience the rare opportunity to watch a Maiko perform up close, with only about 40 remaining in Kyoto today. The event features two brief dances (approximately 10 minutes in total), followed by a Q&A session, a photo opportunity, and a traditional Japanese game.

• The performer will be a MAIKO, not a GEISHA. A Maiko is an apprentice geisha, meaning she is in training to become a geisha. She is referred to as a Maiko.

• Maiko performances are intentionally brief to preserve the art, so she will NOT perform for the entire hour.

• Two different tour options are available:

  • Tea House: conducted inside an authentic Kyo-Machiya.
  • Gion Theater: held in a dedicated showhouse.

• Late arrivals cannot be accommodated out of respect for other guests and the geisha. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for late arrivals.
