What does Zen truly signify? On this tour, a local guide will introduce participants to the essence of Zen before meditation begins. The journey starts with a visit to a tranquil Zen garden, where participants will learn how Zen principles are reflected in garden design and how to appreciate them in a peaceful, mindful manner.
The next stop is Tofukuji Temple, one of Kyoto’s five major Zen temples, with a history that dates back to the 13th century. After exploring the temple grounds, the tour continues to a smaller temple within Tofukuji, dedicated to zazen practice, where participants will engage in an authentic Zen meditation experience.
