First, you’ll participate in a sweets and green tea making class. The Japanese sweets, made from bean paste, are selected based on the season. You’ll also prepare Maccha green tea on your own.

After a stroll along the Takasegawa River, you’ll visit Nishiki Market Street, where you can sample various foods from the stalls. On sunny days, you can enjoy a picnic at Chohoji Temple. Here, you’ll learn a bit about the Japanese art of flower arrangement at the birthplace of the Ikenobou school. If the weather is rainy or too hot for a picnic, you can enjoy shaved ice or other Japanese sweets at a traditional Japanese café.
